Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Job Description TITLE: Dean - Intervention Specialist (Administrator) DEPARTMENT: Student Services REPORTS TO: Principal OVERALL DESCRIPTION: To serve as the Hospital Liaison and Intervention Specialist KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Serve as the high school liaison for all students who are hospitalized to include communication with teachers, parents, student, and Student Services Team members and to assist with the academic, social, and emotional progress of the student

  • Oversee the interventions and data collection for all students on a formal problem-solving plans

  • Communicate with teachers, parents, Student Services Team members and the Instructional Coordinator for Academic Support regarding the progress of students who are being monitored under RtI (Multi-Tiered Support System)

  • Attend all Problem-Solving Team meetings and facilitate meetings when there is a request for a case study or a need for a formal problem-solving plan

  • Work with the ALOP Coordinator to monitor progress of regular education students who are outplaced and to assist in the reintegration of students returning from an outplacement

  • Work with the IC for Academic Support on the data collection for students in the Multi-Tiered Support System

  • Design and carry out student or parent programs regarding issues that impact academic or social/emotional success in school (e.g. bullying, anxiety, substance abuse, motivation issues)

  • Maintain a resource list of interventions and strategies for students who are struggling and ensure that the list is available to students, staff and parents

  • Coordinate articulation meetings between the Junior Highs and High Schools regarding students who are receiving supports under RtI

  • Provide leadership for the development and implementation of new programs and interventions

  • Serve on the Administrative Team and Instructional Council providing resources and information about programs and strategies to support students

  • Provide professional development for Student Services Staff and teachers regarding best practice standards for assisting students with academic or other difficulties in school

  • Evaluate certified and non-certified staff as assigned by the Principal

  • Other administrative duties as assigned by the Principal

QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum 5 years teaching experience required

  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with General Administrative Endorsement


  • Experience in Student Services or Special Education preferred

VIEW JOBS 5/29/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-08-27T00:00 Work closely with Vertex's clients to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely filing of the client's returns and payments by performing a wide range of sales and use tax (SUT) compliance functions, in addition to understanding various business entities (i.e. retail, software, manufacturing, leasing, etc.) and the related SUT compliance details involved Essential job functions AND responsibilities: Prepare clients sales and use tax returns for the time sensitive SUT compliance cycle.  This will include: * Communicate frequently with Client contacts via phone and e-mail * Retrieve the Clients monthly tax data files from an online repository * Analyze tax data for accuracy, investigate questionable data and take corrective action when necessary * Research and file client new jurisdictional sales tax registrations * Research, file, renew and maintain clients business licenses * Manage Clients soft and hard files * Import monthly tax data to Quantum Returns * Post completed returns and reconciliation files to an online repository * Retrieve Client approvals and changes * Collaborate with other staff to direct the mailing process of returns * Initiate timely electronic filings and payments * Maintain monthly tax calendars * Maintain reconciliation and analysis reports * Review and address Clients tax mail (forms, notices, and bulletins) * Respond to, resolve, and track notices from taxing jurisdictions * Participate in the setup process for all new clients * Document unusual out-of-scope issues both internally & externally * Initiate communication with clients to ensure they are satisfied with the service * Prepare bank reconciliation and analysis for each Client * Exercise professional judgment to resolve basic tax accounting problems * Lead or participate in other projects or duties as assigned. * Ability to move and position object weight up to 25 pounds. Knowledge, skills and abilities: * 3+ years of sales & use tax experience required * Public accounting experience preferred. * Specific knowledge of multi-state tax preparing software and preparation of monthly SUT returns * Ability to maintain expected attendance at work. * Business license filing desired * Sales tax registrations experience desired * Ability to manage job-related and personal stress effectively. * Must manage time and priorities effectively by completing tasks in a timely manner. * Sufficient knowledge of business communications, including telephone, voicemail, and e-mail, and operations of office machines, such as photocopier, scanner, and fax. * Basic knowledge of SSTP, SOX, SAS70.  Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills. * Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. * Must be detailed oriented, a team player, and have strong organizational skills. * Must be able to work under tight monthly deadlines. * Must be able to adapt to change * Strong diplomacy skills are required. * Mandatory overtime will be required when needed.  No time off allowed between the 5th and the 20th of each month. The nature of this service does not allow for exceptions to this requirement. * Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends based on business need.  (for exempt) EDUCATION and TRAINING: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related experience.
