Division Information

PACCAR's Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

Requisition Summary

This position is responsible for providing technical customer support of all dealer software applications in order to achieve a 95% first level resolution, including incident management follow-up; training and consultation for dealers and other customers on new and existing applications; project support for new or upgraded systems and applications; account management and other duties as assigned.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Knowledge of PC OS systems; hardware/software and applications

  • Organizational and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication (written/verbal) and listening skills

  • Solid conceptual understanding of LAN/WAN network infrastructure

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

  • Ability to effectively work under pressure with a minimal amount of supervision

  • Display a commitment to quality, strong multi-tasking skills and an aptitude for leadership.

Qualifications

  • A four year degree or equivalent experience of 1 to 3 years in an IT Help Desk environment. Related expertise in handling, escalating, and resolving IT application issues will also be considered

  • Qualified candidates must be flexible and able to work an 8 hour shift anytime between 5:00 am and 4:30 pm as necessary. In addition, 24x7 on-call availability as required

Education

  • A four year degree or equivalent experience of 2 years in an IT Help Desk environment. Related expertise in handling, escalating, and resolving IT application issues will also be considered.

Job Functions / Responsibilities * Analyze and process warranty claims. * Review claim information provided by dealers and, working independently or with Supplier Recovery, Engineering or Quality, process claims per established guidelines. * Provide best in class support to our Dealers and Fleet Customers on a regular basis. * Perform additional technical and administrative duties as assigned. * Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned responsibilities. * Work closely with external/internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunities for improvement.Manage accurate invoicing and reconciliation of all Supplier Recovery related warranty costs. * Travel to Fleet/Dealer/Production locations as needed (<5% travel required).</span> * Perform additional technical and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills * 4 year degree required or equivalent years of experience. * 2+ years related experience required. Experience can be substituted with degree. * Ability to create and manage ad-hoc SQL queries within MS Access or Tableau to help support management decision making a plus. * Must have strong communication and negotiation skills, intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access; and have good recall of detail and a mechanical aptitude. * Strong communication and negotiation skills. * Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced just-in-time environment with rapidly changing objectives. * Must be able to accept responsibility for assigned projects and work effectively under general or minimal supervision. * The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical or technical aptitude, be comfortable with processing large volumes of data, and be able to provide data driven answers to questions about the material processed. * Previous Automotive or Truck Dealership Service Advisor or Service Manager experience is a plus.
