OVERVIEW:
The Dealer Development Manager is responsible for finding appropriate dealers to represent the brand, then visiting and reviewing their facilities, and employees. This is a customer facing position. At times the Dealer Development Manager is the only contact the Williams' customers will meet. As such your presentation skills and product knowledge are important.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Present and discuss dealer agreements.
Assist dealers post appointment to ensure they generate sales and offer customers the appropriate level of service and warranty.
Ensure each new Williams Jet Tender is appointed and performs exactly as expected pre-delivery.
Deliver new tenders to yachts, shipyards, or shipping companies and then review care, maintenance, and use of the craft to owners, Captains, and yacht management crew.
All aspects relating to new boats including, but not limited to:
Unload containers,
Organize and arrange inventory,
Prepare new boats once sold,
Install optional extras,
Pre-delivery inspection,
Sea trials,
Delivery and handover of new tenders,
Submit warranty registration documents to the factory.
Set up and breakdown of boat shows, including delivery of boats, stand building, arranging detailing.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Experience trailering small boats, navigating inland waterways for distances as long as seven miles.
Forklift certification.
The ability to climb on and off boats, load and unload tenders, set up for boat shows, and withstand long periods in the sun.
Thorough understanding of the operation of small jet drive tenders.
Fluent in English (second and third languages a plus)
The ability to discuss the care maintenance and operation of our tenders with people of various skills themselves.
Attention to detail. There is an ongoing need to organize the stock of unsold boats, hand in paperwork on time and without error, and ensure that all boats are equipped as ordered.
Work well as a team with all departments including sales, service, and parts. Direct and assist outside vendors as needed.
Basic mechanical ability may include, but is not limited to, connecting batteries, adjusting trailers, installing options such as bimini tops, bolt on navigation lights, etc.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
