Job Functions / Responsibilities
Assess the adequacy of internal controls; compliance with policies, procedures, laws and regulations; and the efficiency and effectiveness of the warranty and service processes by conducting on-site reviews at dealerships
Identify, obtain and analyze appropriate dealer information before the audit to gain an understanding of the dealer and identify areas for audit emphasis
Provide a summary of findings to the dealer and a detailed written report to dealership and Peterbilt Senior management
Develop or revise the audit program as needed
Manage audits through to completion, keeping management aware of the progress and effectively communicating results
Conduct business with the highest ethical standards and treat confidential information appropriately
Skills / Competencies
BS or BA required
5yrs experience in accounting, engineering, or production
Strong analytical skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong negotiating skills
Must be able to handle multiple competing priorities
Able to develop effective strategies to achieve business goals
Demonstrated expertise in using MS Access and MS Excel for purposes of reading, manipulating and analyzing data
Demonstrated ability to gather facts and resolve problems in a positive and efficient manner
Warranty experience a plus
Heavy duty truck knowledge a plus
30%-50% travel expected, may be higher at times as required
