Supervises and coordinates activities of 3rd shift workers engaged in picking, packing, slotting, releasing, loading, preparing and verifying outgoing shipments by performing the following duties.

  • Maintains productivity and quality records for Associates and ensures compliance to productivity and quality standards.

  • Delegates and organizes Associates to ensure orders are processed within designated parameters.

  • Communicates with all departments of the Distribution Center, CCC, Accounting, Team Sales and others as required to facilitate customer satisfaction through shipping processes.

  • Runs reports, monitors WMS dashboards, manages customer orders in both Order Management System and the Warehouse Management System to meet customer needs and shipping deadlines.

  • Manages staff to reduce costs and improve efficiency while meeting key metrics for service.

  • Review and evaluate Associates in a timely manner; address and document personnel issues as they arise.

  • Maintains supplies for critical shipping operations as needed. This may include but is not limited to package inserts, forms, totes, boxes, packaging materials, labels, etc.

  • Coaches associates to improve productivity and quality.

  • Ensures associates work in a safe and efficient manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises a total of 40-100 employees in the Shipping Department, including 1-3 subordinate leads who assist in overseeing work direction.. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for working with the Leads and Coordinators to build job carts including picking garments, screens and ink to complete the order. * Responsible for putting the job carts in the staging area based on schedules and Lead priorities. * Moves job carts through the Customization process as needed. * Keeps track of the progress of the orders on a production board and monitors light system. * Cleans screens and restocks items as necessary. * Assists in production set ups once floor is running as needed, assuring quality control. * Working knowledge of all screen printing operations. Utilizing that knowledge to operate presses on an as needed basis (screen print, embroidery and heat seal). * Ability to assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution. * Ability to recognize areas for improvement and assist with continuous improvement initiatives. * Assist in training new associates as needed. * Maintains all equipment in an effective manner. Assisting with preventative maintenance on machinery where applicable. Full-Time Hours: 11:00pm-7:00am Sunday through Thursday and mandatory hours 11:00pm-7:00am every other Friday EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Two to three years of experience and background in screen printing whether it is materials, textiles, or clothing. A degree in art or graphic design with an emphasis on Screen Printing is ideal. Computer experience is required.
