QA/Cycle Count Associate I1st Shift 6:30am 3:00pm plus overtime as required

Location: #986 Waterloo, IA

Base Rate: $16.27- $17.77

Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE: Responsible for accurately performing daily counts to verify product quantities in specified locations. Researches and resolves inventory discrepancies and assists with configuration issues and product identification.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Duties

  • Perform scheduled physical counts of inventory stored in assigned locations

  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies involving products and quantities

  • Identify and resolve basic configuration issues to ensure safe and efficient storage of items

  • Resolve all inventory concerns as reported on Problem Forms and Location Research Forms

  • Serve as product knowledge resource to associates in the DC

  • Follow all established standard operating procedures for Cycle Count / QA

  • Operate powered industrial equipment according to Safe Operating Guidelines, Forklift Safety Training, and FEI Safety Policies

  • Insure pedestrian safety by maintaining a safe rate of speed in all areas while operating equipment

  • Maintain clearance of equipment to avoid impacts and damage to product or property

  • Work closely with supervisor and lead to resolve any task concerns that arise.

  • Maintain inventory integrity and product safety at all times

  • Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed

  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times to ensure quality customer service

  • Perform routine and assigned housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe work environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent understanding of Ferguson DC Cycle Count SOP

  • Good understanding of DC Warehouse Configuration Process

  • Good understanding of all DC standard operating procedures

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Possess good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team

  • Demonstrate superior math skills, ability to calculate quantities of product on hand

  • Ability to be certified on powered industrial equipment

  • Knowledgeable of safe work practices required in the distribution center

  • Possess excellent vendor and product knowledge, proper use of ALT 1 codes to identify FEI product

  • Ability to remain results-focused in a fast-paced customer service environment

  • Understanding of WMS systems and warehousing operations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Vision: minimum vision required to prevent injury from oneself and others

  • Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds with or without correction

  • Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word

  • Lifting 20 lbs constantly, 50 lbs frequently; 100 lbs occasionally

  • Continual bending, squatting, twisting, reaching and carrying

  • Repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling

  • Requires continuous walking or standing for shift periods of 8 or more hours

  • Requires continuous standing for shift periods of 8 or more hours

  • Ability to use a hand-held or truck mounted RF unit / scanner

  • Ability to operate forklift equipment for shift periods of 8 or more hours

  • Ability to work at extreme heights in the DC

  • Ability to operate order picker

  • Ability to use hand pallet jack

  • Ability to climb and use a rolling safety ladder

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory including arriving at the time scheduled by the supervisor daily.
