Under limited supervision, design, structure, and maintain one or more discrete databases used by business units or infrastructure units. Test, quality control, and performance tune data to ensure its integrity and reliability. Confer with business unit and technical staff regarding extracting data for particular reports. Monitor or accomplish refreshing of data and installation and testing of new releases or patches of database software.


  • Maintain structure, tables, access to and efficient operation of one or more databases in use for systems or applications in current use by clients, business units, or corporate offices.

  • Confer with business unit or corporate office staff and/or developers regarding current or planned applications using a database to determine technical requirements and how they will be satisfied by the use and configuration of a database.

  • Maintain, update, or document data structures or models, data dictionaries, tables, and other objects used in the database(s) supported.

  • Maintain client registrations for the use of specific database(s).

  • Ensure integrity of data in database by analyzing periodically, testing, and making additions or uploads as necessary.

  • Support current applications using a database by troubleshooting error messages reported in the error log.

  • May schedule large or batch jobs to be run and track their progress through server to completion.


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required


  • 1 years of related experience


  • Ability to understand Database Infrastructure on multiple OS platforms

  • Understanding of Database Monitoring and Reporting frameworks like OEM

  • Ability to analyze infrastructure data and write reports using Tableau

  • Basic DBA Operations like export/imports, DDL, DML, etc.

  • Knowledge/experience with Splunk dashboarding

Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required. Finance Administrator Reston/Herndon/Chantilly, Virginia Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities: 1. Perform a wide range of routine to moderately complex of financial activities and analysis to support management, staff and customers in the office of assignment. Prepares accountings for certification in support of debt collection, vendor payments, Liaison, accounting operations, banking and finance, B&F offices, CTS, and Pay & Benefits. Reconciles general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and/or financial statements and takes corrective action as needed. This includes activities involving credit cards, invoices, travel accountings, PCS/TDY accountings, tax returns, funding documents, debt collection, etc. Reviews and analyzes various, less complex General Ledger accounts and updates information to ensure accuracy. Establishes commitments and obligations and periodically revalidates them within established guidelines and procedures. Originates financial data and posts into Finance Systems (Agency Finance and Acquisition Systems) Reviews to ensure data integrity are maintained. Adheres to Government requirements (National Associations of Records Administration - NARA) of Financial record keeping. Processes travel and miscellaneous claims in a timely manner. 2. Provides general guidance to customers regarding entitlements, accounting requirements, and established finance policies. Clears accounting suspensions (for B&F officers) and refers complex accounting issues to more senior officers providing customer service and technical assistance to Agency, and/or non-Agency customers. Monitors daily cable traffic and other electronic mail and responds to various routine queries from customers; refers more complex queries to more senior officers for resolution. Provides general guidance to customers regarding entitlements, accounting requirements, and established finance policies. Researches finance regulations and data within financial systems to resolve standard financial problems and issues. Provides assistance and mentoring to less experienced coworkers.
