JoinLeidos' NMIC Information Technology Enterprise Services (NITES) team and serveas the Database Administrator for the Maritime Intelligence Environment (MIE)Systems Support Task.
All work is performed onsite in Suitland, MD. Anactive TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position.
TheDatabase Administrator will provide highly technical expertise in providingbusiness application solutions. The DBA will utilize their understandingof hardware/software, communication environments and related peripheralequipment. The DBA will specify proper types of file organization, indexingmethods, and security procedures and advise contractor project teams onthe design of complex databases (e.g., schema and subschema details). The DBAwill define specialized aspects of user's data base administratordocumentation and perform detailed comparisons of various data basesystems.

Implementingsoftware solutions for performance enhancement, job scheduling and increaseduser capability
BSin CS, Engineering, Data Management or related discipline OR military training(CIN C-555-2016 (AZ NEC 6303),CIN C-555-2015 (AZ NEC 6304), CIN A-150-0171 (FCNEC 1318)). Additionalrelevant technical experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
4+years of experience with database administration
1+years of DBA experience with Linux /UNIX (Solaris 10+) environments includingshell script development and debugging
Experiencewith database tuning to accommodate complex queries against large databaseswith an excess of a million records
SQLand PL-SQL programming/scripting skills
Experiencewith interconnection of content repositories
Knowledgeof cloud services and data storage
Security+(CE), GSEC or SSCP industry certification (or education) is required prior tostart date
Experiencewith Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Cloud Data Warehouse (e.g. Redshift)
Experiencewith Oracle ASM and clustering
Familiarwith Database Security Accreditation processes (STIGs, etc)
Experiencewith Exadata systems administration and performance tuning
