Job Description:

As a part of our continued growth we are looking for a dedicated and passionate full time Quality Control Tech to work in our automotive parts distribution center. We are seeking candidates who are extremely motivated and have basic mechanical abilities and automotive parts recognition / knowledge. The QC Tech is responsible for accurately identifying parts for correctness, quality, and packing recycled auto parts for distribution. The QC Tech will also be responsible for making sure the parts meet the quality standard that is indicated by supervision. This is a full time position 40 hours per week (Mon -- Fri 8:30am -- 5:00pm) with occasional OT. Starting rate based on experience $14 - $15 hr

Job Requirements

  • Accurately identify auto parts

  • Inspecting parts for quality and accuracy

  • Adequately packaging parts to protect during delivery / shipment

  • Operating RFID scan gun, maintaining part location accuracy

  • Place part in correct bin / local route dock area

  • Safely operate forklift

  • Effectively communicate with dispatch and production teams

  • Must display a positive and friendly attitude as well as appropriate behavior during work hours

  • Cleanliness must be maintained in the work area.

  • Shows ownership of position and work areas

  • Lift up to 75 lbs. without assistance

  • Basic Computer skills

  • Read and write in the English language

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time 8+ hour shifts

The primary responsibilities of this role will be to record and enter inventory of all useable parts from vehicles received using a handheld PDA device. As an Inventory Clerk you will verify and record purchased vehicles from weekly auctions, record all useable parts of a vehicle, record the plant assigned stock number on each vehicle, and scribe all parts saved for inventory with assigned stock number. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail, work well with others, must have excellent written, and verbal skills. Essential Job Duties: * Verify and record purchased vehicles delivered to the facility from weekly Auctions. * Record on each vehicle received the Assigned Stock Number entered for the Plant. * Record and enter inventory all useable parts for each vehicle. * Scribe all parts saved for inventory with assigned stock number. * Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments and record indirect time in a timely manner. * Verify that proper documentation is attached. * Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. * Participate in all assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines. * Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers always. * Assist in various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, storing equipment, etc. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Knowledge of vehicles and parts is a MUST! Starting pay can vary between $13.00 to $15.00 based on automotive experience.
