Position Summary:

The Order Selector is responsible for identifying, selecting, and loading product safely & appropriately in a fast paced environment for routing and delivery to the customer.

What you'll do:

• Uses a scan gun to determine information such as product location, product codes, sequence of deliveries, and special loading instructions;

• Affixes shipping labels on cartons;

• Examines outgoing product to ensure quality of product meets specifications;

• Selects, picks, and palletize product by hand and loads into trucks in doors as assigned;

• Position merchandise so that proper stacking rules are employed and light cartons are positioned above heavier items.

• Shrink wraps and bands product to the pallet, as necessary;

• Weighs certain items and records weight for company records;

• General housekeeping of the shipping dock, aisles, and coolers;

• Responsible for adhering to food security, food safety regulations and policies (HACCP, CGMPs)

• Following warehouse safety procedures for the operation of equipment, such as wearing proper clothing and maintaining awareness of your surroundings and other workers when transporting items. And other duties assigned by manager

About you:

• HS diploma or equivalent;

• 2+ Years experience operating a electric pallet jack;

• Able to lift at a minimum of 50 lbs consistently;

• Able to read product codes and special instructions for orders;

• Work in cold temperatures ranging from -0 to 55 degrees;

• Previous Experience working in a warehouse;

• Experience working with an RF Scanner / Headset;

• Positive attitude;

• Self Motivated;

• Ability to work in a fast paced, busy environment;

• Good communication skills;

• Ability to work well on a team, but be self motivated and independent when needed;
