Under the guidance and direction of the Day Camp Director, the Day Camp Counselor will provide constant supervision and guidance to all children assigned to them each session to ensure that a quality and safe program is offered. Supervise and guide a group of campers to ensure a positive and nurturing camp experience for each participant. Guard campers' safety and welfare at all times. Plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities.

Acquaint campers with rules, activities, daily schedules, and traditions of camp.

RequirementsA person at least 18 years of age preferred who demonstrates maturity, good judgment, creativity, and has had previous camp experience, or experience working with groups of children. Ability to interact and communicate clearly with children and adults. Responsible for setting up and putting away program supplies and is capable of lifting and moving camp equipment.

Able to participate and interact all day in a camp setting, which may include long periods of time standing, moving, and/or enduring outdoor weather.

The Genetic Counselor Assistant (GCA) is a member of the Genetic Testing Stewardship Program team providing support with functions that involves genetic testing, insurance, provider and patient interaction. The GCA will be involved in scheduling, coordinating, and verifying insurance coverage for patients receiving genetic testing. Responsibilities will include discussing insurance coverage with patients. The GCA will be a point of contact with external genetic testing organizations involving the provision of relevant clinical, billing, and contact information as well as sample submission and results tracking. Essential Functions – Work closely with genetic counselors and medical director of the Genetic Testing Stewardship Program to facilitate daily operations Communicate with hospital authorization group, providers, and insurance companies to obtain medical insurance coverage for genetic testing and provide medical information from providers for appeal processes, etc. Discuss insurance coverage information with families and coordinate genetic counseling consent appointments and sample collection. Contact genetic testing laboratories regarding sample availability, sample requirements, test costs, and other relevant information.
