We are currently seeking a full time Data/Charge Entry Coordinator position, in our Outpatient Registration Department.
The Data/Charge Entry Coordinator is responsible for daily accounts data and charge entry. Responsible for registering accounts in billing system which includes demographic and financial information. Update patient demographic and insurance information as needed for recurring patients. Review current insurance information and cross reference with charge entry codes (i.e. CBH, Medicare, Commercial, etc.). Responsible for charge entry in a timely manner. Complete adjustment forms if any adjustments need to be made to an account and attach all supporting documentation. Cross reference patient sign in sheets against outpatient charge tickets to ensure all charges have been captured on a daily basis. In the event that all charge tickets have not been turned in, each program director will be notified before the end of day to report charge ticket status to outpatient director. Review charge batch reports for accuracy and understands appropriate course of action to take and initiates time-sensitive and strategic steps resulting in proper charge entry.
The ideal candidate will:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 5 years of job-related experience.
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of office administration procedures with the ability to operate most standard office equipment.
Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
