Performs system design and analysis for company and/or customers. Early to Mid-career Data Management (DM) professional, experienced with a hardware development program to provide expertise in Data Management (DM) for the Spacecraft/Payload Integration and Evolution Office (SPIE) in the Space Launch System (SLS) Program at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). This position will perform Data Management functions such as records management and archival, implementation of a review/approval process for contractor deliverables, and enhancement of existing MS Access status accounting systems, as well as support the Configuration Management (CM) processes, such as change management and review board support. Successful implementation requires initiative and flexibility to meet program milestones and maintain a smooth operating rhythm for the office.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
Serve as member of the CDM team for the SLS SPIE Office
Implement Records Management (RM) processes as part of ongoing archival activities per MSFC RM requirements
Develop enhancements to existing MS ACCESS databases
Utilize MS Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to enhance existing applications
Manage internal SPIE document reviews
Utilize ICE Windchill for tracking change processing and records management functions
Provide support to SPIE Engineering Review Board (ERB) and/or Element Control Board (ECB) and other SPIE Boards as required
Provide Data Quality Assurance for SPIE developed products
Make recommendations for improvements to the SPIE data management processes

Bachelors's degree in business administration, management, or related field, or equivalent experience required. May use related experience in lieu of education.
Minimum of two years of related experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
Expertise with data entry and report creation in Microsoft Access or similar database is required.
Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and excellent follow-through skills are required.
Records management and archival experience is desired.
Configuration management, particularly change management, experience is desired.
Working knowledge of ICE Windchill or similar Product Data Management system is desired.
Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team to accomplish program objectives is desired.
Professional CDM certification such as National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) CDM certification or equivalent is desired.
