Job Description:

CACI is looking for an enthusiastic Database Management Specialist in the MD area. Join the CACI team to help plan database upgrades by maintaining , evaluating, and improving a transaction processing model.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Provide technical expertise in the use of Database Management Systems (DBMS).

  • Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications.

  • Perform software engineering and systems analysis to support design, development, test, configuration, and integration of new or modified large-scale relational database systems.

  • Analyze and develop computer software processing a wide range of capabilities, including data warehouse technologies, business data model, Executive Information Management, and Decision Support System.

More About the Role:

  • Analyze user interfaces.

  • Maintain hardware and software performance tuning,

  • Analyzes workload and computer usage.

  • Maintains interfaces with outside systems, and analyzes proposed system modifications, upgrades and new commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) products.

  • Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user level documentation.

  • Perform database administration (DBA) services including installation, configuration, administration, performance monitoring, tuning, backup, and disaster recovery strategies for operational and developmental databases.

  • Provide database design, client/server integration, database modeling, and support for systems under development.

  • Coordinate functional design and system architecture issues between parties involved in the development process.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Required Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline and three years direct experience in the last five years, or at least ten years of general experience of which seven years of directly related experience.

Certifications:

  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline IAT Level I or Level II certification.
  • ITIL Foundations certification required. must be current or able to be obtain within 90 days of start date.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering),
  • Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP).
