Position: Database Developer/DBA
Reston, VA
Duration: Long term

Database Developer/DBA to support an ongoing development project with one of our Federal clients. The position is based in our Reston, VA office.
Required Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or related field
5+ Years' experience as a Database Developer in SQL Server 2014
3+ Years' experience as a DBA. Specifically, as a DBA for SQL Server 2014
3+ Years' experience as a SSRS Developer
Desired DBA knowledge / experience
Experience with monitoring database performance
Experience with managing access permissions and privileges
Experience with trouble shooting issues on behalf of the users
Experience with database backup, restore and archival process
Experience with SQL Server Replication and CDC
Experience with data modeling tools like SPARX
Experience with logical and physical data modelling
Experience with SQL server maintenance and configuration
Desired Database Developer knowledge / Experience:
Experience in coordinating with Project manager / DB developers / Application Developers and BA team to implement DB solution
Proficiency in creating and maintaining DB programmable objects like procedures, functions, views and triggers
Proficiency in SQL Performance tuning
Experience with SSDT
SSIS experience is a plus
Desired Reporting experience
Experience with creating and maintaining SSRS reports
Experience with troubleshooting and resolving reports related performance issues
Experience with report server maintenance and configuration

Coordinates testing of designed applications. 7. Assignments may include design of data dictionaries, database structure and layout, installing, upgrading, and managing database applications. 8. Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced analysts, and may have supervisory responsibilities. 9. Stay current on vendors' best security practices in relation to organizational requirements. 10. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. 11. Participates in special projects as required. Education: Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
