Title: Database Developer

Location:  Harrisburg, Pa

Requires In-Person Interviews


Focuses on projects to improve data quality and auditing for record management of enterprise systems.   Researches and recommends processes and procedures to increase efficiency of the CEDC data management and integration strategies for enterprise systems.   Provides data analysis, data integration activities, and reporting to ensure that data is accurate and complete.   Works on data exchanges using services, scripts, and building additional ETL’ s to share with outside entities.   Also has ability to manage these projects and ensure they stay on schedule.   

Responsibilities include: 

 •     Leads technical design and code work within complex enterprise systems

 •     Hands-on technical design and development expertise working with emerging technologies in diverse technical environments and cross-platform technologies

 •     Demonstrates experience with the design of relational and multidimensional database

 •     Demonstrates proficiency in performance tuning to ensure quality and performance of ETL jobs and reports  

 •     Assists in process improvements to enhance data quality, implement validations, standardize processes and promote reusable components to ensure data quality for the delivery center

 •     Develops new reports and database objects against complex enterprise databases (both SQL Server and Oracle) and modifies or enhances existing reports, queries and database objects as assigned

 •     Uses Visual Studio Team Foundation Services for source control and work items and provides project statuses and project time estimates to the supervisor

 •     Participates in structured code reviews / walk through s.

 •     Works with business users to gather and document requirements and ensures solutions meet their business needs

 •     Proven ability to collaborate with project managers and technical architects

 •     Proven experience performing supervisory functions for technical teams

 •     Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and determine root cause when issues arise

 •     Demonstrates analytical and customer service skills

 •     Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills

 •     Ensures that best practices are maintained and mentors team members on the best practices, standards, and IT processes

 •     Applies Agile development principles

 •     Adheres to standards set by the Service Center and the Governor’ s Office of Adminstration 

 •     Documents all work for future reference

 •     Independently executes all tasks and work assignments

(NYSE: ROP) is seeking a full-time Senior .NET Software Developer to join the Software Development Team in Hummelstown, PA (the greater Harrisburg, PA area). The .NET Software Developer will be responsible for the ongoing support of our Integrity CSC application at numerous customer installations throughout the US. This position will involve the day-to-day maintenance activities as well as the development of customer specific enhancements on a per change order request basis. Duties and Responsibilities require: * Strong proficiency as a Software Developer utilizing the .NET framework, VB, C#, and SQL to support as well as architect and deploy customer specific extensions to the Integrity CSC application. * Strong experience in debugging .NET service oriented (SOA) Windows applications using WCF/WPF. * Providing software support for our Integrity CSC installations during normal business and off hours. * Ongoing performance improvements to the Integrity CSC application including database objects and the DNN website. * Design and development of well documented source code. * Development of both unit testing and system testing scripts that will be incorporated into the QA process. Required Skills: * Understanding concepts of data modeling and system configuration * 5+ years of professional experience architecture, developing, and maintaining solutions in the .NET framework (e.g., C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET) utilizing Visual Studio (2005-2015) * 5+ years of professional experience developing SQL queries, stored procedures and functions. Latest experience should have been with using most recent versions of SQL Server. * Experience using visual studio and TFS * Solid working knowledge of applications for data analysis and presentation (i.e., Microsoft SQL Server, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, VISIO etc.) * Working knowledge of RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems) concepts. * Solid hands-on experience with analytics. Includes data analysis, generating insights and providing actionable recommendations * Strong understanding of best practices and coding disciplines * Solid understanding of back office tolling operations * Proven track record of delivering high-quality data and reporting results on time and within deadlines * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both at detail and summary levels * Highly motivated team player and a self-starter. * Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented concepts * Professional tolling industry experience preferred Education: * Bachelor's degree Computer Science.
