U.S. Bank is seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Provides technical leadership to the Oracle community on selection, design, development, and integration of Oracle databases and features. Offers senior level consulting in identifying and solving complex and highly critical database issues. Functions as a resource on database management issues around policy and standards. Leads the overall design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's Oracle Platform. Participates in troubleshooting and technical system support for the Oracle database group. Has knowledge of Oracle replication features using Data guard and Active Data guard. Has used and understands Oracle's Golden Gate data replication product. Has a good understanding of Exadata and consolidation platforms.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 8 years experience with tools, facilities and techniques for managing and administering data.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Good Communication skills

  • Can work in a Collaborative environment

Extensive experience in:

  • Oracle 12c features and functions

  • Oracle Data guard and Active Data guard

  • Oracle Golden Gate and data replication technology

  • RMAN backup functions

  • Upgrade experience in moving to 12C

  • Extensive knowledge or Oracle RAC

  • Knowledge of Oracle Exadata

Knowledge of:

  • EMC timefinder

  • EMC Data Domain

  • TOAD

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager

  • Service Now Change Management system

  • Oracle Transparent Data Encryption

  • Knowledge of Databases running in Private / Public Cloud Infrastructure

US Bank's Integrated Card System is looking for a senior level team member that can create the blueprint (model) for a given database need. This candidate builds an application product understanding of the database function. Integrates efforts with the applications process flow diagrams and data flow diagrams created by the engineers and business lines. The individual will create and maintain conceptual and logical data models. Works with other database administrators who are responsible for the physical database and implementation duties. Integrates with the Agile product managers, product owners, architects, and developers to support the architectural runway. Provides foundational capabilities that will be used to support future functionality. Responsibilities: * Creates and maintains conceptual and logical data models. * Transitions logical data models to physical database administrators. * Creates enablers, in conjunction with architects, for the architectural runway within an agile release train. * Provides technical assistance and mentoring to staff on logical data model concepts. * Develops data architectures and database management policies and standards. Guarantees the performance integrity and quality of databases. * Monitors performance and performs database training and assists architects and application developers with train tuning efforts. * Sets and enforces database standards, tools, and processes.
