Job Description:
As Lead Database Architect, you will lead the architecture and design effort of the application database and integration with other systems in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Your role is to design innovative solutions to real market problems. You will work closely with DBAs, product managers, other architects to develop new product offerings, PAAS Automation, DBaaS orchestration and Automate DBA tasks.

Responsibilities
Provide thought leadership on the product technical roadmap and other technology areas
Lead and work independently with developers/DBAs to implement new and improved functions, understanding the big picture while still being hands-on
Drive recommendations for business prioritization, roadmaps, and product improvements
Engineer efficient, adaptable, scalable, and reliable product
Follow architectural and design best practices
Identify and document reusable architectural components that can be used across other Clients.
Architect the solution around Automation of tasks, Security and Regulatory compliance
Provide technical direction to the DBA support teams
Design interfaces, services automation and service orchestration for DBaaS solution.
Assess the technical feasibility of new technologies to enable integration into existing processes/systems
Resolve design issues and develop strategies to make ongoing improvements that support system flexibility and performance.
Analyze/troubleshoot escalated Production issues and work with DBAs and backend system teams to Resolve the issue

Qualifications * Extensive experience with data integration, data warehousing and analytics solutions. * Wide knowledge of architecture standards and patterns, a passion for advocating their correct usage and excellent communication skills (written and verbal) * Skilled in business domain modeling and logical and physical relational data modeling/design. * Highly skilled modeler in both operational transaction and data warehouse dimensional design. * Extensive knowledge in both structured and non-structured data management. * Skilled in data analysis and facilitation, i.e., able to produce data designs using a variety of inputs such as requirements analysis, SME interviews, business process and data flow analysis, data profiling, etc. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong relationship building skills. * Persuasive in influencing strategic architecture direction, framing reference architectures, specifying policies and standards, drive consensus on target state architectures, and influence roadmaps. * Skilled in applying strategic architecture direction to project delivery using standard engagement methods. * Experience with ERwin or similar data modeling tools. * Experience with DB2, Netezza, Oracle, Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server, as well as familiarity with ETL tools (i.e. Informatica) and data profiling tools. * Knowledgeable about Business Intelligence tools, such as Business Objects, Tableau, SAS, etc. and their appropriate use in solutions for diverse business requirements.
