Duration: 5 months (Contract To Hire)

Pay Rate: $53/Hr on W2

Job Description:
As Lead Database Architect, you will lead the architecture and design effort of the application database and integration with other systems in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. Your role is to design innovative solutions to real market problems. You will work closely with DBAs, product managers, other architects to develop new product offerings, PAAS Automation, DBaaS orchestration and Automate DBA tasks.

Provide thought leadership on the product technical roadmap and other technology areas
Lead and work independently with developers/DBAs to implement new and improved functions, understanding the big picture while still being hands-on
Drive recommendations for business prioritization, roadmaps, and product improvements
Engineer efficient, adaptable, scalable, and reliable product
Follow architectural and design best practices
Identify and document reusable architectural components that can be used across other Clients.
Architect the solution around Automation of tasks, Security and Regulatory compliance
Provide technical direction to the DBA support teams
Design interfaces, services automation and service orchestration for DBaaS solution.
Assess the technical feasibility of new technologies to enable integration into existing processes/systems
Resolve design issues and develop strategies to make ongoing improvements that support system flexibility and performance.
Analyze/troubleshoot escalated Production issues and work with DBAs and backend system teams to Resolve the issue
Document system requirements, create high level designs to ensure accuracy and completeness against the business requirements
Estimate roadmap features at Managers requests.
Provide detailed architectural artifacts and documentation to production DBAs and implementation teams
Contribute to Architecture CoE.

Required Skills:
12 15 years of experience in the industry, with strong Production cum development support DBA on SQL Server and Oracle.
At least 5 years of experience in architecting and designing large database applications / products. Migration to databases to Cloud.
Capable of technical deep dives into platforms, infrastructure, databases, and applications as needed, yet cognitively agile enough to have strategy discussions with leadership
Knows what is possible using latest technologies
Architectural trade-off methods
Ability to discover reusable components and design for reusability
Identify and address Database security concerns and vulnerabilities
Ability to architect scalable, distributed, highly available and multi-tier applications
Working knowledge of IT operational procedures and processes
Familiarity with various operating systems and industry-accepted standards and client/server application computing environments
Possesses strong product, technology, and industry knowledge
Experience with design (blueprinting) and developing conceptual, logical, and technical architecture models.
Firm sense of accountability and leadership
Passionate for making things better and driving action
Excellent communicator

Technology Skills:
Expertise in MSSQL Server (latest version) and Oracle 12c technologies.
Experience in Automation of DBA tasks using PowerShell, T-SQLs, Perl.
Experience in Migration of On premise databases to private cloud, AWS, Azure.
Knowledge on NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra
Experience in providing Production/application SQL Server/Oracle DBA support (administration, configuration, and monitoring) for both off the shelf and home grown applications.
Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and project methodologies.
Excellent knowledge on logical and physical data modeling and experience in designing database.
Hands on Experience in Extracting, transforming and loading Data with SQL Server using DTS, SSIS packages.
Scripting and modifying VB scripts, Powershell, Automation.
involve in designing and reviewing database model created for the new projects
Working knowledge in setting up OLAP databases and data integration.
Expertise on SQL Server/Oracle database migration/ provide upgrade plans.
Working experience on SSIS, SSRS and SSAS Migrations.
Migration of Databases from old versions to new Versions in very less downtime using Pre-Migration and Post-Migration activities.
Knowledge in Database Administration including performance tuning and optimization, Database Architecture, Installations, Maintenance, Backup/Recovery and Auditing, Production and Development Databases Support.
Knowledge in Database Administration for large databases on Windows Platform, using high availability Cluster, AlwaysOn, replication log shipping and Database Mirroring, RMAN, Dataguard, Standby.
Be responsible for costing of customized solutions and ensuring implementation within budgets.
Builds and maintains client relationship.
Good mentoring skills

Work Experience
Minimum 10 years of Database administration skills (SQL Server / Oracle) work experience with minimum 3 years as Database architect.

BE/ME/MTech Preferably Computer Science
