As the Database Services Supervisor, you will supervise a team of database professionals managing systems that support the business processes for the Department of Transportation. Current technology stacks include Oracle, Oracle RAC, MS SQL server, Oracle Spatial and Oracle Data Integrator/BI.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume.
This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a database or software design, development and support with demonstrated understanding of data structures.
Experience must include:
Technical expertise in the principles and techniques of database administration; understanding of relational databases and data flow.
Experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server RDMBs.
Experience with Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) tools
Serving as an IT to business liaison.
Negotiating IT and business partners to managing resources and priorities with the database service
Successful candidate must pass past-employer reference checks and a criminal history verification

Lead work or supervisory experience.
A college degree in a computer science, management information system, or combination of related fields.
Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to address team and organizational health.

Ability to communicate with technical staff about broad organizational and strategic and tactical directions and issues.
Ability to manage service level expectations.
