The Client seeks contractor support in the areas of Oracle 12 on Access Portal AWS, Commercial Cloud Services, including the creation of Parameter, and option and subnet groups. The Candidate shall be responsible for the Clients components focused on the repository data tier, focusing on the principles of Large-Scale Database Development, Large-Scale file manipulation, data modeling, data mapping, data testing, data quality, and documentation preparation. Additionally, the Candidate shall focus on modernization strategies of data hosting, data transport, and data exposure with a focus on performance, security, cost, with the flexibility to store large volumes of disparate enterprise data sets.

Work Requirement:

The Candidate shall contribute to the design and documentation of an enterprise database. The Candidate shall incorporate COTS products into an enterprise Database. The Candidate shall build database environments from table, column, index, and view definitions. The Candidate shall determine storage requirements. The Candidate shall determine spacing and growth accommodations.

The Candidate shall translate logical data models into database structures. The Candidate shall create logical data models that integrate existing shared database structures.

The Candidate shall develop scripts to create database schemas. The Candidate shall develop scripts to manage data security and protection. The Candidate shall develop scripts to manage performance. The Candidate shall develop scripts to backup, restore, refresh, and archive data.

The Candidate shall migrate data through environments when requested by the Client. The Candidate shall design and document data security and asset protection techniques. The Candidate shall manage, monitor and administer database and system performance. The Candidate shall manage, monitor and administer database accesses. The Candidate shall manage, monitor and administer database optimization and tuning. The Candidate shall manage, monitor and administer extractions.

The Candidate shall recommend appropriate procedure, query or package changes. The Candidate shall recommend optimizations to improve and ensure system performance and reliability.

OPTIONAL SKILLS: Demonstrated experience translating logical data models into database structures

Demonstrated experience integrate database structures with existing shared database structures.

Demonstrated experience accurate time recording.

Demonstrated experience using the Agile development methodology.

Demonstrated experience participating in team meetings.

Demonstrated experience using server operating systems such as Windows, Linux, AIX, UNIX, and Solaris.

Demonstrated experience using Oracle Vault for encryption.

The Database Administrator will work in support of criminal and counter-intelligence investigations for Federal Law Enforcement. The primary responsibilities will center on planning, coordinating and administering computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long and short range requirements, operational guidelines, protection and logical-physical database design. Perform database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and predicting future database resource requirements. Candidate formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Responsible for performance monitoring, database tuning, identification and correction of performance bottlenecks. Responsibilities What you'll do… * Oracle Supercluster Databases administration including design to meet customer needs, install, deploy, data migration, maintenance, backup/recovery, patch and upgrade. * Perform and manage ZFS storage. * Perform ongoing assessment of database performance and identification of problem areas using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Toad, and or SQL code and scripts. * Perform and execute database backup and recovery procedures using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and Veritas NetBackup. * Perform Oracle installations, upgrades, administer CPU/PSU patching and other administrative core DBA functions. Qualifications You'd be a great fit if… * You have a BS/BA (or the equivalent) plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience * You have 6+ years of experience in the following: * Working with medium to large databases (Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g and/or 12c) in a UNIX, Linux and/or Windows environment. * Experience with Oracle engineered systems such as SuperCluster , Extadata, Big Data, ZFS Storage or MiniCluster * Working with database tuning and maintenance, experience in data modeling and database development and experience with UNIX Shell scripting when required. * Working with SQL and PL/SQL * Oracle HA configurations including Real Application Clusers (RAC), Veritas and Data Guard. * Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) backup and recovery procedures. * OEM Grid Control to perform enterprise level monitoring and administration procedures. * Installing, configuring, administering, and using current & emerging database tools, strategies, & technologies * You have a current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
