Overview:

ESO Consultants is currently seeking Database Administrators to join our team. This role entails various responsibilities including database technical design, storage configuration, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring. Additionally, Database Administrators will be involved in the development and maintenance of integrated databases, as well as providing technical assistance in designing new systems or modifying existing ones. Strong experience in database programming, performance tuning, and version upgrades is essential for this position.

Job Title: Database Administrators

Responsibilities:

- Database technical design, storage configuration, space management, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting.

- Development and maintenance of integrated databases, including providing technical assistance in designing new systems or modifying existing ones.

- Database programming and utilization of stored procedures, triggers, or similar development approaches.

- Performance monitoring and ongoing tuning of databases.

- Installation of new database versions and upgrades.

- Support for development, test, and production environments.

- Development and maintenance of database administration procedures and operations to optimize database availability.

- Evaluation and solicitation of feedback on processes to identify areas of improvement for optimizing transactions.

- Assistance with impact analysis of changes to database objects.

Qualifications:

- Experience with entity-relationship diagrams and relational database development tools.

- Proficiency in Structured Analysis and Design techniques, data dictionaries, database schemas, and database security.

- Experience in investigating, analyzing, and modeling corporate data, including corporate databases, application systems, and associated interfaces. Also, ensuring appropriate design, configuration, integration, and installation of database management system applications.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, and three years or more of related full-time, paid experience as an Oracle, SQL Server, or AIX administrator.

- Strong initiative and leadership skills, a strong work ethic, responsibility, and dedication.

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

- Strong verbal and writing skills.
