Perspecta has a for a Database Administrator Senior in Boise, ID, El Paso, TX or Charleston, WV or any other LCM.

The Senior Database Administrator will have experience creating, implementing and managing expansive database administration programs. The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for reviewing database performance trends, and identifying opportunities for improvement. The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of the customer's database(s). They will also be involved in the planning and development, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.

The Senior Database Administrator will be expected to at times direct junior database administrators.

The Senior Database Administrator will:

  • Participate as a member of a Data Engineering (DE) Team supporting one or more application migration projects.

  • Work collaboratively with the Application and infrastructure team, including architects, developers and testers, to ensure project success.

  • Coaches less experienced database administrator team members.

  • Participate in discussions with customers and peers to collect and analyze data requirements.

  • Provide input and advice to peers and other project team members in relation to data engineering principles, technologies, methods and best practices within areas of expertise.


Education Qualifications/ Experiences:

  • Bachelors Degree with 5 years experience

  • Computer science

  • Electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required

  • 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

  • Must be able to create, implement and manage expansive database administration programs

We’re currently searching for a full-time Senior Retirement Plan Administrator to work in our Plan Administration department.
