Job Description

Needs to be a Database Administrator of around 8-10 years of experience in SQL server.

Education qualification: Bachelors or Masters in Computers.

  • Updating and amending existing databases

  • Setting up and testing new database and data handling systems

  • Monitoring database efficiency

  • Sustaining the security and integrity of data.

  • Installing versions of the SQL Server and its tools and any other tools that access the database to provide support to the application.

  • Maintenance of databases (SQLServer), designing the data model, developing the schemas and other SQL PLSQL database objects.

  • Creating High availability architecture- 4- node architecture

  • Creation and maintenance of Archieve and restore processes, backup & recovery and monitor database.

  • Creating Logical and Physical data models using SQLSERVER by getting involved in interactions with team.

  • To work on creating database objects like tables, creating constraints by understanding the relationships between tables, Partitioning tables and views.

  • To work on creating database objects like stored procedures, functions, cursors, indexes (for faster retrieval and improved query performance), triggers, packages, synonyms, sequences, roles and granting privileges. Linking the server through the linked server's concept in SQL Server.

  • Creating complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted

  • Assisting in database design

  • To write complex queries with join conditions, sub queries, correlated sub queries and set operators like Union, Union all, Intersect, and Minus.

  • To work on the advanced features like collections, native dynamic SQL, types, nested tables, varrays and BULK operations.

  • To Work on development of Reports using SSRS, working on PLSQL objects like procedures, functions, triggers for generating the reports.

  • Creating Session (Static & Dynamic) and Repository (System and Non-system) variables for reports.

  • Estimation planning activities responsible for developing code as per requirements.

  • Application maintenance and enhancement, investigate, analyse and document reported defects.

  • Day to day administration of database like rebuild indexes, user creation, resizing of datafiles.

  • Performance tuning activities both at database level and also at Application level, To ensure that the ongoing system does not break.

  • Recommended modifications in the existing PLSQL Objects.

  • Database review, database validation and database refresh.

  • User Management, Memory Management, looking into connectivity issues.

The data from all measures will be cleaned and prepared using SPSS (after exporting via access). They will also be responsible for uploading data from all other studies to the NIH Portals in a timely manner. Responsible for quality control, management, and integrity of research data and related procedures. Designs, develops, coordinates and implement data management policies. Responsibilities: * Coordinate and direct the development and implementation of data monitoring and data management procedures. * Develop and assist with the design of MS Access applications. * Design and implement applications for data entry systems, data management systems, quality assurance and front end user interfaces. * Assume responsibility for communication of data related issues with and among the data entry specialists and the nurse research associates. * Supervise, train, and assist the data entry specialists in web based data entry. Assess staff skills and deficits and assign tasks to data entry personnel as needed. Qualifications * 4 year academic degree, including courses in computer programming, systems analysis, system development, or systems engineering OR has acquired Core IT skills and knowledge via practical experience. * Demonstrate thorough understanding of the fundamental tools and concepts of one of the information technology professional disciplines (i.e., Applications, Business Analysis.
