As previously stated, the sustaining team will be responsible for on-going operations, management of the agile development process, defect fixes and minor feature extensions, and prioritized enhancements. Examples of a feature extension would be adding new data elements to reports, adding or modifying current reporting filters, moving, adding or changing how data is displayed in a profile page for an individual service member, integrating new data sources into the database. The sustaining team is responsible for on-going operational management of the new system, routine upgrades of underlying software and system components, and development activities to resolve issues experienced during operations, respond to enhancement request from end users, and to evolve and extend current features in response to policy changes and evolving needs of Navy Medicine.
