Responsibilities

  • ITI/RRS Provide Oracle Database Administration support.

  • Work with developers to define and maintain an Oracle environment for application development and testing.

  • Define and implement Oracle backup and recovery strategies.

  • Assist in planning and implementing Oracle database and application changes.

  • Evaluate new database products and features.

  • Develop and implement the standards and procedures to be used by Oracle DBAs to accomplish the following: Perform Oracle database space management.

  • Perform Oracle database reorganizations, backups and recoveries.

  • Monitor and tune Oracle database performance.

  • Assist in Oracle problem identification and solving, sometimes requiring off-shift support.

  • Provide the DBA liaison function to the Application Developers, our client's Corporate Data Center and the Business Customers.

  • Participate in projects reviewing Oracle database structures, standards, and procedures for database applications.

  • Develop and review adherence to these standards and procedures.

  • Participate in reviews of Oracle database changes.

  • Participate in reviews of Oracle processes against the data.

  • Lead the team in assigning the DB security violations and get them remediated periodically.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years overall IT experience

  • Minimum 7 years experience in Oracle database administration . 10G, 11G, 12c

  • Minimum 7 years experience working in Unix/Linux/Windows environments.

  • Strong written/oral English communication skills with ability to communicate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and implementing Oracle database utilities (backup and recovery) and using Oracle diagnostic and monitoring tools.

  • Experience managing formal concern resolution process between stakeholders (developers, operations and vendors).

  • Experience in supporting critical production environment, working on large Oracle database applications.

  • Familiar with database security and control policies. NA

  • Bachelors in Computers preferred
