Job Summary: Technical expert in one or more highly specialized areas.

Provides technical leadership, in area(s) of specialization, on projects as required. May act as a subject matter expert in a business and/or functional area to help the user in defining their needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems utilizing knowledge of their areas(s) of specialization.

May have duties instructing, directing and/or checking the work of others as it relates to their area of specialization.

Minimum Requirements: Work requires the level of knowledge normally attained through completion of a Bachelor#s degree in Computer Science or Information Management, or equivalent work experience in related field.

Minimum of six years progressive experience in Information Technology or equivalent combination of Information Technology and work experience. Knowledgeable in 1 or more relational database platforms (i.e. Epic Cache, Microsoft SQL, Oracle ). Working knowledge of designated user department/division function and work process is preferred.

Work requires knowledge of current information technology and proficiency in platform, network and workstation tools. Work requires ability to lead project teams to accomplish automation projects of large size and complexity. Requires excellent analytical skills to assess business problems and develop feasible alternative solutions.

Verbal and written communication skills required to propose plans and alternatives to team, department, and management. Must be able to visit multiple business and education locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor#s degree preferred or a superior level of expertise within a major subject area. Six to twelve years of progressive experience in Information Technology. Two years implementing and maintaining database replication and performance tuning.

Work requires knowledge in Database Administration Tools (ex. SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle Grid Control, Epic Cogito, Cache). Helps to resolve simple database performance and capacity issues, and replication and other distributed data issues. Ability to work in teams.

Reports to the LVHN Heart Institute#s Vice President and works in close collaboration with Physician-in-Chief, Medical Directors, Chiefs of Divisions, Nursing and support departments in meeting mutually established goals and objectives for the Heart Institute. This position requires the individual to take extreme ownership of operations, lean initiatives, developing and implementing new programs/services consistent with the Institute#s quality and business growth objectives. Supports relevant committees and Heart Institute#s Leadership Council. Represents the Heart Institute in community, civic and professional activities. Assures compliance with standards and regulations of local, state and national regulatory and accrediting agencies. Administrative oversight of LVHN#s Invasive and Non-invasive cardiac services. Minimum Requirements: BSN or BS degree in relevant health care related area. MBA, MHA or equivalent completed or in progress.
