Data Warehouse Senior Technical Business Analyst, Assistant Vice President
Lead Technical Business Analyst within Data & Enterprise Content Management with a good understanding of Banking & Markets products and data in required subject areas within core banking, capital markets, risk, finance, regulatory, and compliance. Assess the intended outcomes of business, technical, quality, and security requirements and liaise with business users, the Chief Data Office Organization, the Business IT departments, and LOB stakeholders to achieve the intended outcomes while following the banks processes, standards, and procedures. May lead a team in the planning, conducting and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluation and developing systems that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing and criteria specification for system to meet business requirements. Designs details of automatic systems. Provides consultation to users in the area of automated systems. Projects assigned impact enterprise wide systems.
Function as data and domain SME and supply business and technical knowledge on required subject-areas and systems.
Handle user inquires and assist production support team with any investigations as it relates to business systems analysis.
Act as liaison between business users (front, middle, CDO, operations) and the Data & Enterprise Content Management Department (verticals and horizontals), and if necessary with other technical teams.
Gather, elicit, analyze, document, and translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into technical specifications and other supporting documentation.
Create and maintain functional design document, non-functional design document, detailed design documents, test plans, test scripts, cases.
Conduct and document impact analysis, gap analysis, data analysis and testing.
Create and maintain technical specifications, flowcharts, mapping specifications, data dictionaries, metadata, lineage documents.
Coordinate DUT/SIT/UAT/DR/regression testing activities.
Create and maintain design library, product matrices, business glossaries, and other required documentation for data quality and data governance initiatives.
Expert/lead role. Demonstrates strong leadership and consulting skills with advanced communications skills level for composing and writing original business documentation and presentations for management.
Conduct trainings and knowledge sharing sessions.
Ensure best practices, standards, processes, and procedures are followed.
Lead responsibilities include directing, monitoring and assigning work to those on the team.
Provides technical work guidance or mentoring. May provide input to the managers/supervisor on staff performance.
Coaches and mentors more junior staff.
Support Information Management and other BIT initiatives as required.
Bachelors' Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
Expertise in business analysis, systems analysis, and data analysis in required subject areas in the banking domain. (7 years)
Experienced in complex large-scale data warehouse projects, data integration projects, and/or business intelligence projects. (3 years)
Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, coordination, documentation, analytical, problem solving, leadership, and time management skills.
Hands-on advanced SQL and advanced Excel functions. (3 years)
Experience using reporting tools such as Business Objects, Tableau (3 )
Must have domain knowledge in Metadata and Data Quality
Experienced in waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies. (3 years)
Serve as Agile Business Analyst to the PMO support team.
Hands on in writing user stories, estimation, leading scrum ceremonies.
Facilitate and capture business/technical requirements from existing legacy systems for modernization.
Experience creating business process flows, SOP, SLA's.
Must be able to draft business process, procedures and SOP's.
Day to Day interactions with PM and product owners.
Informatica ETL exposure, Collibra Data Governance tool, and Meta Center or equivalent metadata tool experience/exposure a plus
