Job Description

Defines, documents, and builds the technical architecture of the data warehouse, data marts, and operational data stores, including physical components and their functionality. Creates scripts required to extract, transform, clean, and move data and metadata so they can be loaded into a data warehouse, data mart, or operational data store.

Experience

Experience in SQL and/or Oracle database platforms

Experience in common ETL tools, e.g., Talend, Informatica, SSIS

Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years of experience in database or data warehousing technologies or Master's degree and 1 year of experience

Understands technical environments in order to create and document processes and procedures

Well-developed organizational, written communication, and analytical skills

Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational lines, including administrative/executive staff and patient care systems users

Must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities

Demonstrates and applies knowledge of data warehousing architectural approaches, including virtual data warehousing

Job Responsibilities

Demonstrates data modeling skills, e.g., denormalization, normalization, star schema.

Provides performance tuning and query tuning capabilities.

Creates scripts to extract, transform, clean, and move data and metadata so they can be loaded into a data warehouse, data mart, or operational data store.

Provides master and metadata management capabilities.

Develops multidimensional semantic layer and business intelligence query objects for end users.
