Data Warehouse Developer

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Deploy the Extraction, Transformation, and Loading Routine for the Data Warehouse Environment by Sourcing the Data from the Operational Systems, Applying the Business Transformation Rules, and Loading it to the Data Warehouse and Data mart Environments

  • Analyze and Develop Strategies for Data Acquisitions, Archives, Recovery, and Implementation of the ETL Repository and

Load Jobs

  • Determine the Optimal Approach for Obtaining Data from Diverse Source System Platforms and moving it to the Data Warehouse

  • Implement and execute strategy for Change Data Capture

  • Create Testing Methodology and Criteria

  • Perform Detailed Data Analysis including Data Quality and Consistency by Monitoring Production Data

  • Investigate, analyze, document and correct reported defects

  • Develop Specifications for Data Cleansing, Data Scrubbing, ETL and Data Migration Processes

  • Develop and Maintain Standards, Common Processes and Best Practices for ETL Architecture including Batch Jobs Auditing and Balancing

  • Design and Implements Automation of Data Loading and Cleansing Processes

  • Modify ETL Processes to Accommodate Source System Changes with New Business User Requirements

  • Populate the Data Warehouse using Data Modeling Techniques for Target Structures such as Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and Highly Normalized Data Models

  • Interpret written business requirements and transform intotechnical specifications

  • Create and maintain technical specification documentation

  • Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

First and foremost, we require individuals with outstanding communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical people.Additionally, they should also possess as many of the following as possible:

  • Minimum 3 and preferably 5+ years of experience in SQL query development.

  • Extensive Hands on Experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

  • Full understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing and data transformation

  • Full understanding of Extract Transform Load (ETL) concepts and technologies

  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing tools, patterns and processes

  • Experience Database design and well versed with SQL Server best practices

  • Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment

  • Excellent Interpersonal, Written, and Verbal Communication Skills

  • Excellent Technical Documentation Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of data warehouse concepts, technologies, and best business practices to include: data sourcing, data transformation, data loading, data cleansing, data integrity checking, and end-user tools

  • Hands on Experience with SQL Server 2008/2012

  • Experience in Netezza is a plus

  • Ability to present and deliver analytical/conceptual ideas in a professional manner

  • Ability to function, prioritize, and execute tasks in high-pressure altering environment

  • Ability to Self-Direct with keen attention to detail

  • Ability to Conceptually understand the direction for the organization's objectives and goals

  • Perform any other delegated duties considered appropriate in order to maintain the efficient running of the department

  • DB2 experience a plus

  • Other ETL tools a plus

Receives shipments, Packages & labels all outbound shipments in a timely manner, Essential Functions: * Warehouse shop – Manages warehouse and inventory, Maintain a clean and organized work area, shop, warehouse, rear of building, Clean and route incoming equipment * Coordinate demo/loan equipment for sales team as needed. * Shelves are to be stocked neatly, and equipment is to be placed in its appropriate areas. * Floors are to be swept and cardboard boxes broken down and disposed of at end of each day. * Cleans, organizes and maintains warehouse. Other Functions: * As shipments are received: * Unpacks, tags, pre-preps & forwards equipment/supplies to appropriate holding area. * Matches packing slips to original purchase orders. * Dates and receives each line on the purchase order within the computer tracking system. * If shipment container is damaged: note condition on freight company's bill of lading. * Check quantity and condition of materials received. * Packages & labels all outbound shipments in a timely manner. * Arrange for immediate pick-up to ensure prompt delivery to final destination. * Return all defected shipments and ensure appropriate credit for company * Perform other duties, as assigned.
