We are looking for Data Visualization Specialist who have worked with or have a strong interest in agile software development practices and troubleshooting deployed software.
What you'll get to do:
Serve as an experienced Data Visualization Specialist working in an Agile/Scrum environment developing custom software visualizations through integration with enterprise database applications. Responsibilities include:
Collect, analyze and document data wrangling and visualization/analytics requirements.
Work independently in developing and maintaining automated visualizations/analytics that provide insights from Customs and Border Protection data.
Interface directly with end users from other groups across the Customs and Border Protection, as well as other organizations where necessary.
Explore and leverage available data sources in the conduct of analysis and visualization
Keep informed and educated on latest trends and best practices in data visualization/analytics markets.
The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse team is also crucial. A willingness to learn and stay abreast of industry trends is also required. Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria includes but is not limited to:

College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

You are good at:
Developing data analytics and visualizations utilizing IBM Cognos, QLIK, Tableau, and/or SAP Business Objects as a platform.Experience and knowledge of at least one of these tools is required.
Developing and optimizing SQL queries to retrieve data from relational databases.
Problem-solving with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Being highly organized and detail-orientated with the ability to track, prioritize and execute tasks simultaneously.
Working independently or as a team member to meet goals, objectives and commitments.
Collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders, both technically and culturally, to understand business goals and provide effective visualizations/analytics.
Bonus would be having:
Experience with NoSQL environments, conducting analytics, and producing visualization using open source software
Software development background
Experience with managing projects using VersionOne, Jira, and Confluence
