Job Title: Data Visualization Specialist
Location: Chicago, IL/ Hermitage, TN
Duration: 8 months

Job Summary:
Establishes best practices and serves as an advisor on how to visualize data to provide insights that drives business decisions and improves overall business performance.
Participates in requirement sessions to determine solution requirements. Leads effort to establish report visualization as part of the documentation of formal requirements.
Develops data visualizations in Power BI and PowerPoint.
Create charts, graphs, infographics, dashboards, etc. to support story-telling and decision making.
Distills qualitative and quantitative insight to communicate compelling stories.
Visually engages end-users with tools to facilitate their day-to-day work.
Collaborates with Business Analysts, Quality Assurance Analysts and technical delivery team members to maximize and leverage the understanding of business solution functional requirements and non-functional requirements.
Liaise with internal team members to train/guide them on reporting solutions.
Assists in the documentation of formal requirements, use cases, user stories, test plans, test cases, test scripts and test suites which ensure that the software solutions developed and tested are fit for purpose, meet business needs and are operationally sustainable.
Duties and

Responsibilities:
Understands business strategy and objectives by studying the business function, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats. Develops mockups to visualize insights and elicits feedback to ensure visualizations meet business needs.
Possesses advanced level expertise understanding of on how to visualize data and best practices.
Leads and establishes data visualization standards and best practices.
Collaborates with BA, QA, and developers, designers, and architects to ensure a shared understanding of the business model and the detailed function requirements.
Establishes the estimation of requirements documentation and testing efforts for various projects and initiatives.
Manages the progress of projects by tracking activity, resolving issues, and recommending actions; Provides senior management and project management with regular updates on deliverable timeline and project status.
Analyzes data and collaborates with leadership and technical teams to identify potential insights to drive decision making
Responds proactively to both business and project issues and escalates appropriately.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of best practices for dashboards and BI reporting with emphasis in design and visualization

Experience with requirements gathering and understanding the needs of the end user

Expertise in the research, development, and support of data visualization techniques

Expertise in data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and QlikView.

Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly with clients, technical teams, and leadership.

Ability to thrive in an environment that requires flexibility and multi-tasking

Ability to take initiative and work with high level of independence

Strong technical and remote collaboration skills are a must

Familiarity with SharePoint is a plus

Application design and testing experience is a plus

Excellent organization, analytical, and planning skills

Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross-functional teams and ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organization environment

Strong relationship building and consulting skills. Fosters a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with clients and cross functional team members
Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements

Experience with data visualization products and tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView

Experience working with Agile development processes
Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or Business Administration or equivalent education; 3 to 5 years of related Data Analytics and Visualization experience.

Role Description * This position is responsible for leading a team and project resources across a series of initiatives to ensure delivery of a customer relationship opportunity management system with well-defined business processes and procedures. The role will focus on integration of data, processes, and standardization across existing platforms and applications, as well as migration of data from one system to another. * The ideal candidate will have a strong background in client opportunity management, data migration, process defining and implementation, and will be able to manage any concerns and mitigate impacts on both the project and the stakeholders. You will contribute to key analysis, communication, and planning across CDMS initiatives. This new company encompasses more than 700 professionals from the Executive Member Firms and DTTL, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, UK, US and DTTL.
