We are seeking a creative engineer with strong visualization skills to join our growing Data team, which is developing cutting-edge analytic tools to drive better and faster decision making within our company and to better serve our customers. You will communicate large datasets and machine learning outputs to a variety of audiences, internal and external. You may also surprise us with new and innovative ways to display information we've never thought of before.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build enterprise grade data visualizations for a wide range of users and levels of expertise.

  • Create and define the best strategies and practices to build interactive visualizations for machine learning and NLP systems output, product performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Create rich and easily comprehended visualizations that reveal significant patterns and structures in complex datasets.

  • Collaborate with engineers to build scalable ETL pipelines to integrate data from heterogeneous data sources to support visualization.

  • Conceptualize, design, and produce insightful information graphics and dashboards.

  • Design and build interfaces for internal productivity tools to display and collect data.

  • Make recommendations on visualization technologies, commercially available and open-source, that should be introduced to eHealth operations.

  • Work with software engineers to deploy visualizations that are scalable, intuitive, and insightful.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years Experience with Python scripting, data analytics, and charting libraries (Pandas, NumPy, plotly, etc.).

  • 2+ years with SQL, Unix shell, and experience with git.

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field.

  • 1+ years of relevant data visualization experience.

  • A portfolio of data visualization projects, with work encompassing ETL to polished interactives.

  • A demonstrated mastery of visualization techniques such as timelines, Sankey diagrams, heatmaps, radar charts, and network analysis plots, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills in written and verbal forms, and an ability to communicate findings and insights in innovative and compelling visual formats.

Nice to Have:

  • A demonstrated mastery of visualization libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, Leaflet.js, bokeh, Highcharts, or similar.

  • Demonstrated experience with Node.js & at least one of the following: Ember.js, React.js, Angular.js or similar Javascript frameworks.

  • Knowledge of user experience design.

  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and statistics.

  • Experience with various ETL technologies and frameworks (Pentaho, Informatica, Matillion, etc.).

This person should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility will be key to their success. This position is permanent and will be based in Santa Clara, California. We seek an IT professional with advanced hands-on technical skills in Networks, Server Hardware and Linux (ideally in a Data Center environment). Having extensive knowledge of planning hardware installations and executing complex projects in a large-scale distributed data center environment is a core competency of this individual. Solid communication skills are a requirement for this role. The candidate should also have deep knowledge and experience in at least one of the following core areas: Networking, Project Management, Tool and Automation, Hardware and OS repair. RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for the planning and technical execution of projects throughout the Data Center Work as a technical lead with cross-functional data center teams on a large-scale data center projects and initiatives Provide guidance and mentor technical leads and the go-to technical resource for management Track issues and analyze data looking for trends and systemic issues that impact fleet uptime and utilization. Perform root cause analysis of complex technical issues and drive resolution Provide cross data center support and identify potentially larger issues, displaying effective communication when something is identified Help develop global standards for processes, workflow and automation roadmaps for tools that facilitate deployment, maintaining and decommissioning of server hardware at scale.
