Purpose & Scope: The Data Tech Coordinator is essential in implementing and monitoring procedures to ensure the site inventory is accurately stated. This position will support Data Technicians at each site to fulfill their daily tasks to keep the farms balanced. Work closely with Supervisor, Farm, and Swine Manager to communicate and develop best practices to improve farm inventory processes. Will be continuously involved with Data Entry and troubleshooting equipment when malfunctioning. Adheres at all times to Animal Welfare, Safety, and Bio-Security protocols, guidelines, and procedures at all times.

Essential Responsibilities:
Functions may include but are not limited to

  • Conduct required yearly Herd Audits

  • Monitor the accuracy of PigChamp reports (inactivity, flash, warning list etc.) in line with what the Data Techs are providing

  • Ensure all Data Techs are trained and knowledgeable of the task required of them to complete.

  • Confirm all farms are balanced by month end

  • Work with IT/Finance/Production in the implementation of MTech as primary inventory tracking system for DH

  • Ensure timely data entry by data techs and Pig Care

  • Communicate with key players progress and improvement opportunities

  • Troubleshooting Computers, Handhelds, Wands issues as they arise

  • Set-Up of PigChamp/MTCH equipment accordingly

  • Performs other duties assigned by Management as needed

Travel: Occasional

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Team oriented, self-motivated and positive individual with strong work ethic

  • Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Occasionally be able to push, grasp, and pull up to 60 lbs

  • Daily walking/standing

  • Reliable method of transportation required

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, PPT

  • Fluent in English: read, write, speak, and comprehend in English

  • Communications Skills (Verbal and Written)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of PigCHAMP and MTECH Systems

  • Previous swine production experience

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Relocation assistance is not provided. Cargill Starches and Sweetners has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Technician. This position fulfills the objectives of four main roles in Sweet Bran's Dalhart Facility. The four roles include running the control room, railcar movement, dumping railcars and unloading ingredient cars/trucks. They will load trucks using the automated loadout system, move railcars throughout the tracks located on our property, dump full cars to ensure feed is available to load trucks, and unload ingredient cars/trucks to ensure that ingredients are available when needed. Each of these roles is essential meeting the primary goal of ensuring a consistent supply and quality of fee to our customers. This position will ensure a consistent supply and quality of feed to customers. Position responsibilities can include: * Running the control room * Railcar movement, dumping railcars and unloading ingredients in cars/trucks * Load trucks * Monitoring product levels and documenting informations both manually and by computer * Sampling analysis Principal Accountabilities * Able to work 12-hour shift rotation, including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. Work on-call as assigned * Process monitoring and control * Product sampling analysis * Troubleshooting and maintenance of process equipment and instrumentation * Procedures, policies and practices adherence and development. * Permit completion and coordination * Assist in assuring efficiency of operation of equipment, quality of product, food safety and safety of all personnel * Ability and willingness to comply with all Cargill policies, health and safety requirements such as jewelry restrictions, the use and wearing of safety/personal protective equipment (e.g. wearing safety equipment such as hardhats, safety glasses, hearing protection, dust masks, respirator, fall protection harness, protective footwear, etc.), and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Requirements: * Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer. * Cargill requires that employees to be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a plant environment * Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and working in confined space * Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds * Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold * Ability to work in elevated areas * Must be able to operate machinery * Must be able to operate heavy equipment * Must be able to read/write English * Basic computer skills * Ability to work overtime * Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts * Prior experience in production related work Preferred: * Forklift Certified * High School Diploma or Equivalent * Ability to work in an environment with dust, and noise * Experience operating a bobcat * Experience operating a front end loader * Experience in manufacturing/production Cargill, Inc.
