What will you do?

  • Use and define data sets for leveraging and show their value;
  • Benchmarking our Data sets, using third party APIs;
  • Measure Data set KPIs programmatically;
  • Run and test data, using customer data, data analysis and data wrangling;
  • Own the analysis, reporting, and optimization of our data sets in marketplace;
  • Validate third party data sets and write data sets specifications;
  • Competitive research and monitoring - assessment of competitive product landscape;
  • You will be involved on Marketing and Data processes, and quantitative analytics in order to recommend and provide solutions;
  • Creating and substantiate content and articles, adapting it to different audiences;
  • Meeting and communicating with stakeholders in order to understand and meet their needs;
  • Gathering feedbacks from end users to continue improving effectively
  • Understand business and technical concepts requirements;
  • Keep informed on trends and developments;

Our Data Tech Analyst would have:

  • + 3 years of experience in Technical Product Management, Engineering, QA or Data Science;
  • + 3 years of experience in Python and/or R programming skills;
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering is preferred;
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and Scrum;
  • Experience in Data visualization, being able to understand and communicate data results;
  • Good understanding of Data processes and quantitative analytics;
  • Having a deep understanding of business and technical concepts requirements;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to adapt the content and communication to different audiences;
  • Experience on monitoring and analyzing main competitors;
  • Testing and investigation experience on products and applications;
  • Aptitude for technology and to keep informed on trends and developments;
  • Analytical mindset, problem-solving, planning and organizational skills;
  • Ability to prioritize and be hands-on.

UW Facilities manages the University's buildings, infrastructure and land, with more than 1,100 employees in a variety of fields. The Asset Management group includes Capital & Space Management, Real Estate, Sustainability and other teams responsible for planning and workload management. The Operations group includes Project Delivery, Maintenance & Construction, Campus Utilities & Operations, Building Services, Transportation Services and Safety. Supporting these groups, as well as the separate Emergency Management team, are the Business Intelligence & Information Technology group and the Finance & Administration group. Asset Management has an outstanding opportunity for an Engineering Data and Process Analyst. This position is part of the Engineering Services group which provides professional engineering support and is responsible for facility and asset data collection and integrity. Position Purpose Under general supervision and guidance from the Engineering Manager (Mechanical, Utilities, and CX), this position is responsible for supporting all Engineering Services staff in collecting and gathering data through database research and field surveys and performing data analysis to support strategic planning and other engineering support functions. This position supports engineering staff in adapting to various software and computer applications used in project delivery processes and engineering analysis. This position gathers and analyses data used for programs related to environmental compliance. UW's Seattle main campus comprises over 300 buildings and 15 million gross square feet, including a major medical center/teaching hospital, state of the art research facilities, classrooms, offices, sport and recreation facilities, dormitories, utility distribution systems, 8 miles of utility tunnels and two central utility plants. Other UW campuses and facilities comprise over 230 buildings and 4.5 million gross square feet including the University of Washington Tacoma and Bothell campuses, Pack Forest, Forks, Sand Point, Friday Harbor and the UW Tower complex. Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Perform data analysis, establish performance metrics, and recommend process improvements to various ES Environmental programs/activities including Spill Prevention Countermeasure and Control, Storm Water Pollution Prevention, Air Operating Permit, etc. * In support of ES staff (all disciplines) perform field investigations, data gathering, and perform data analysis used for facility condition assessments, asset management, and other programs. * Apply technical knowledge and expertise to support ES staff in the implementation of new and continuously changing project management and project delivery applications, employed during the design and construction review of Capital Projects. * Compose engineering reports and presentations including the employment of spreadsheets and graphic information software tools. * Provide training in the use of tools and modules for data gathering and surveys. * Lead the process for updating and publishing the Facilities Design Standard and Standard Specifications, including but not limited to coordinating meetings with stakeholders, gathering and integrating feedback, and formatting review, to meet the update schedule. * Collaborate with members of the Business Intelligence Team (BIT) group to plan, develop, test, and maintain modules and tools for gathering building and systems information (i.e. accessibility surveys, facility condition ratings, asset information, etc.) using software/applications implemented by BIT or UW IT (i.e., Invision, GIS, etc.). * Collaborate with the BIT group in the development, update, and maintenance of software tools and databases to gather, store, and analyze survey information in support of architectural and engineering analysis and related activities. * Perform site observations, analyze data, and create technical reports for various systems (i.e. building envelope, electrical, mechanical, etc.), to support Engineering Services' programs and activities. * Participate in strategic planning and analysis to support various programs/activities such as feasibility studies, campus master planning, utility master planning, maintenance and operations activities, etc. * Lead the ES Safety Program and represent ES in various committees, as assigned. * Perform the duties of ES' Business Process Manager (BPM) and/or other lean initiatives to help ES and UWF meet their strategic goals. * Perform complex word processing tasks, use spreadsheet and database software, support the development of various engineering and architectural data gathering processes, analyses, and reports. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements include: * Bachelor's degree in Geography, Science, or Engineering. * 3 years of combined experience in technical/engineering work and/or field data collection and analysis. * Proficient in web/internet hardware and software technologies, along with an ability to communicate on technical subjects effectively with non-technical staff. * Experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and digital mapping applications. * Must be able effectively communicate with others. * Proficient in computer skills such as spreadsheets, word processing, and remote data collection. * Self-driven and able to work well in teams and independently. * Ability to conduct business in a professional manner. * Ability to learn new skills and appropriately prioritize tasks. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. Desired: * Experience in research, interpretation, and application of regulatory requirements. * Experience in using the InVision software or similar applications. * Solid communication skills with ability to speak and write about technical issues. * Knowledge of databases and cloud technology.
