Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of UC Health Data Warehouse (UCHDW), the Data Scientist collaborates with the Data Architect and Lead Data Scientist to design and manage the data visualization platform for UCHDW and works closely with business stakeholders from across UC Health to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $78,900.00 Maximum $179,900.00

Required Qualifications:
5+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server

Ability to customize Business Intelligence tools to meet user needs

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to lead projects or portions of larger projects

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, templates and analytical views

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience with Transact SQL scripts and relational and multidimensional database designs

Minimum of 5 years working in programming in a healthcare setting

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Preferred Qualifications:

Business Intelligence (BI) tools experience

Full software lifecycle development experience using a variety of programming environments, including open source tools

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Strong technical skills in Excel, Access, Statistical Software such as Minitab, Tableau
