MSX International is currently seeking a Data Analyst. The successful candidate's primary roles and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:

  • Will be responsible for providing the data support for enterprise data integration tasks, including ingestion, standardization, enrichment, mastering and assembly of data products for downstream applications

  • Work on all the Data Domains across the enterprise including: Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Finance, etc.

  • Support the development of an enterprise wide Business Information/Data Warehouse (BI/DW) system by interfacing with IT partners

  • Perform Data Profiling and exploration thereby increasing subject matter expertise

  • Define Data Transformations while retaining the associated lineage and information flows

  • Implement Data Shepherding practices including: creation of Data Standards, Business Glossary, Master Data Management (MDM) and the enforcement Security policies to support data sharing

  • Provide visibility of any Data Quality issues and work with the business owners to resolve

  • Guide Data Scientist in their selection of preferred data sources and the collection of a new data requirements by understanding their problem statements and informational needs

Skills Required:

  • Ability to write complex SQL queries needed to query & analyze data

  • Experience in various database technologies (software and tools)

  • Knowledge of data transfer and ingestion technologies (ETL) including Attunity

  • Experience building visualizations using Tableau/Qlikview

  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies

Skills Preferred:

  • Detail-oriented with a strong drive to enforce common standards

  • Demonstrated customer focus, with the ability to evaluate decisions through the eyes of the customer, build strong customer relationships, and create processes with customer viewpoint

  • Flexibility and durability in an changing environment: always looking for ways to improve the process and ability to confront difficult circumstances in creative ways

  • Strong verbal and written communication skill including an ability to communicate complex solutions in simple terms (English)

  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated acceptance and adherence to high ethical, moral, and personal values

Experience Required:

  • Data Gathering skills and tools (e.g. SQL)

  • Data Profiling tools

  • Database design, data architecture and data modeling

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university

The Data Operations analyst discovers and curates new and existing data sources (for proprietary and transaction data, etc.) for use in building incremental value and insight for the business. Analyst will make recommendations for alternative ways to bring data to life to solve business problems. At times, the problem is identified by a business unit, frequently wishing to optimize cost, revenue, or improve quality, and at times problems are formulated by the Data Scientists. The Analyst identifies internal and external data sources and enables skill teams and analytics teams to leverage the data with their analytic tools to answer their key questions. The role will be responsible for discovering and curating data sources, including: * Lead the process of ingesting the assigned data source (act as a Project Manager): Facilitate the meeting for source screening, and be responsible for the completion of the source screening Guide IT and the DSC on the design and landing of the data landing, and be able to be the single point of contact for the DSC on the design and landing Guide IT and the DSC on the transformation of the source application, be able to be the single point of contact for the DSC on the transformation. . * Acting as the data steward to ensure that all information utilized adheres to compliance, access management, and control policies as set forth by GDIA. * Providing on-going tracking and monitoring of data quality * Creating Data Models using Alteryx and Informatica * Solving client analytics problems and communicates results and methodologies. * Working closely with different teams to solve problems related to client analytics. * Working cross-functionally to manage data and analytic projects. * Improving department results through innovation.
