Job Summary and Qualifications

The Data Scientist Pharm will serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) in clinical system to Enterprise Standard Chargemaster integrity, as well as Chargemaster to CMS coding and reporting standards. This role actively participates in the development and implementation of new systems and reporting templates to meet emerging regulatory requirements in billing and coding compliance. The Data Scientist Pharm will provide standard monitoring reports and ad hoc reports as requested based upon external and internal data needs. The Data Scientist Pharm will support Regs data usage analysis, statistics, ad hoc reporting, changes to compliance dashboards and tracking databases, and ensure distribution of reports as required throughout the organization. Additionally, this role will leverage their software skills to connect to various upstream and downstream systems, and apply their expertise in quantitative analysis and data mining in the visual summary and presentation of data.

Ensure a standardized and consistent approach relating to Regs participation and analysis of data including written documentation of processes and data results.

With direction and supervision, acts as subject matter specialist to assist in requirements gathering and analysis with other clinical and IT&G team members to design and implement requirements to support consistent, reliable data retrieval from EDW and other systems as necessary.

Works to think analytically and critically to lead reporting standardization and automation efforts promoting efficiency and accuracy in data retrieval.

Present data formally and informally and facilitate discussion regarding data exchange.

Apply analytical skills, familiarity with statistical and/or actuarial methods with demonstrated spreadsheet and database expertise

Use and support database applications and analytical tools, evaluate data quality, applications, and workflow functions.

Format, run, distribute, and interpret reports using the available tools.

With direction and supervision, provide in depth "what if" analyses of data exchange change requests.

Escalate to and collaborate with team lead on program issues and risks to identify solutions.

Other duties assigned as necessary, to support Regs, Legal Counsel, Senior Leadership and other HCA Healthcare entities.

Experience in enterprise-level data retrieval and analysis including implementation and enhancement of processes to ensure data accuracy and efficient retrieval.

Detail-oriented work output with highest level of reliability.

Performs other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

Bachelor's degree

Master's degree

3+ years relevant work experience

Experience with relational database management systems including national and internal databases.

Excellent oral, written and technical communication skills
