About the Role

The Data Scientist is an integral part of Latham's Audit & Advisory team. This role will be responsible for helping develop and embed data science models throughout the firm, while working with team members and working independently to execute data science solutions that provide answers to key business problems, and ultimately drive actions for stakeholders throughout the organization. This role will be located in either our New York office, San Francisco office or our Global Services Office in Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Aggregating data from a variety of sources, identifying new sources, and automating collection and processing where possible

  • Applying knowledge of statistics, machine learning, predictive modeling, advanced mathematics to highlight patterns, identify trends, predict future outcomes, answer key business questions, and make valuable discoveries from given data sets

  • Summarizing complex findings for stakeholders of varying levels of analytical knowledge so that insights are easily digestible and actionable

  • Staying up to date on leading trends and applications throughout the data science and business analytics world

  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Possess strong knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms, and have experience with proper applications and interpretations of results (i.e. clustering, regression analysis, random forest, gradient boosting, neural nets, etc.)

  • Exhibit the ability to accurately perform and comprehend results of advanced analytics, modeling techniques, and communicate data findings to senior management

  • Demonstrate proficiency with SAP Business Objects (BO)

And have:

  • A high school diploma or an equivalent
  • A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Economics, or a related field, preferably
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in data science, machine learning, or applied statistics

Pay Range

USD $110,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
