THE OPPORTUNITY

• Kipsu is expanding its Research & Development team with an additional Data Scientist. This role will provide a unique opportunity to be a key part of building our R&D function, contributing to significant advancements and new product development.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Work extensively with cutting-edge Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies

• Train and fine-tune advanced machine learning models to enhance their performance

• Collaborate on projects involving Large Language Models (LLMs)

• Write innovative algorithms in Python and other programming languages

• Dive deep into our rich data sets, leveraging SQL for insightful analysis

• Conduct primary and secondary research to explore emerging technologies and develop new techniques

• Coordinate and actively contribute to the data annotation process

• Analyze data to uncover meaningful patterns and trends

• Play a key role in the product and technical design of new features

• Engage in fast iteration cycles, working closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and senior leadership to drive impactful results

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Formal post-secondary education in Data Science (or related fields like Computer Science)

• Experience working with Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs)

• Understanding of machine learning systems and familiarity with algorithms for things like clustering, topic detection, classification, sentiment detection, etc.

• Proficiency in Python and/or other scripting languages

• Strong skills with SQL

• Desire to perform research and and stay up-to-date with the latest advances in AI order to develop new algorithms and approaches

• Proficiency in data analysis and statistics, and an appreciation for how data can be used to uncover and tell a compelling story

• Ability to move fast and pivot as needed as we react to new findings and enhance our understanding of the problems we are solving

• Curiosity and a reflex to not only observe what happens but repeatedly asking why to get at the root cause

• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and delve into the details
