People in the Corporate Function contribute to the running of Accenture as a high-performance business through specialization within a specific functional area, and grow into internally focused roles by deepening their skills and/or developing new skills within an internal functional area.

This role is in Accenture Research Global Data Science Team.

We are looking for a data scientist with business knowledge and research mindset and a passion for data-driven insight discovery.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Support global data science research projects and assets development focusing on business impact.

  • Support the development of novel data-driven approaches to support current and future research projects.

  • Help in the design and execution of groundbreaking and differentiated data science assets.

  • Collaborate closely with research leads as well as business stakeholders to drive innovation on research projects

  • Foster the adoption of data science research tools and outputs within Accenture (econometric modeling, text analytics, sentiment analysis, data-wrangling, machine learning, web-scraping etc.

Experience and skills

  • Track record in data science tools and techniques (incl. Python, Google Cloud, SQL, NLP, text analytics, data-wrangling, machine learning)

  • Strong interest in Technology and Business research

  • Understanding of business dynamics and how to incorporate them into data science models

  • Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to make sense out of data

  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to take an issue and turn it into a researchable question

  • Strong professional qualities: client focus, decisiveness, integrity, resilience to stress against stretch goals and deadlines

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in the presentation of research deliverables to high level executives

  • Enthusiasm to work effectively in a global, multi-cultural team

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of data science experience and/or data analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or similar

  • Knowledge of LLM models (e.g. Azure OpenAI, Llama 2, Gemini) and GenAi framework (e.g. Langchain)

Professional Skills

  • Excellent communication, organization time management and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders

  • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

  • Proven team management skills and growth mindset

  • Ability to function as a Team Player and maintain a good working relationship, yet think and act independently with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality

  • Attention to detail and willingness to flex based on business priorities

  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below.

California $63,200 to $169,800

Colorado $63,200 to $146,700

New York $58,500 to $169,800

Washington $67,300 to $156,200
