Data Science Intern, Game Optimization San Francisco, Intern
The Unity Monetization Data Science team helps game developers grow their business. In game optimization, we use machine learning to make the best decisions available from different monetization options. These options include the campaigns of many different advertisers and promotions for in-app purchases. Our decisions reach hundreds of millions of players every month, enabling developers to continue creating exciting games.
We build machine learning pipelines that process data from a large network of games and players. We use a wide range of techniques from deep learning to design and train our models. We work with reinforcement learning to optimize future value based on monetization choices so that game developers don't have to.
There are many exciting challenges that come with applying reinforcement learning to real data collected from users, as opposed to simulations. We offer the opportunity to understand current research in reinforcement learning, value its impact on game optimization, and try something new such as the soft actor-critic algorithm for training a model. Join us in helping the game developers succeed!
