SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:

To support of geological modelling and data science efforts at AGANA's Beatty Nevada Projects as a key input to the success of the AGA Strategy in a manner consistent with the Company's Vision and Values.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Contributor to estimation of Resources and Reserves, responsible for timely delivery of block models for open pit and underground mine planning, permitting and resource growth evaluations.

• Provides performance evaluations of resource models by estimation domain and uses those observations to make corrections and improve the resource models as additional data is generated.

• Generate a resource model that incorporates a range of analytical approaches including variography, volume variance, conditional simulation, risk characterization and/or stochastic/predictive modelling.

• Utilizes Data Science techniques to extract deposit knowledge that can enhance the quality and usefulness of geologic and resource models.

• Validates drill hole data before being added to resource models.

• Providing and mentoring support to geological modelling to assure resource models incorporates known geological interpretations for the projects within the Beatty Mining District and other projects as needed.

• Provide resource modelling support for project engineering and environmental work.

• Support resource reconciliation efforts in a production setting.

• Work closely with AngloGold Ashanti subject matter experts to include identified best practices for resource estimations and participate in technical support and reviews as needed.

• Stays up to date on new industry resource modelling techniques and seeks out geostatistical learning opportunities.

• Establishing and maintaining productive key role relationships and required communication to deliver resource modelling support.

• Ensuring that resource models and technical support is completed and delivered in a timely manner as agreed by the Geology Manager.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• BSc or MSc in Geoscience discipline.

• Industry relevant geostatistical and data science education and certifications.

• Relevant and successful geostatistical resource estimation experience in the mining industry.

REQUIRED GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in Exploration and Mine Geology, multidiscipline 3D modelling (implicit and explicit), geological data interpretation, GDMS database management, technical reporting and QAQC.

• Applicable skillset in the general practice and methods of geostatistical modelling for gold and related variables using appropriate software packages.

• Capable of creating drill spacing studies and application to resource classifications.

• Data Science skills to improve geologic knowledge.

• High energy and level of enthusiasm for the work with high performance goals for self and team

• Preparedness to take a well-reasoned stand on matters of importance.

• Preparedness to undertake business travel.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This is a full-time, exempt Nevada Projects

COMPENSATION

Base Salary Range $77,522-$132,895 USD
