The Measurement team's mission is to help all marketers understand the true business value of their advertising spend and non-paid investments. As an example, think of an advertiser that needs to understand the incrementally of their spend, or of the attribution across Facebook and other platforms.
Platform and regulatory changes (such as the loss of browser cookies) mean that the way Measurement is done today in the industry is at a strategic tipping point. We must both adapt our current products as well as build towards the future, which will shape the future of Facebook's advertising business and the digital measurement industry as a whole. We will invest in modeling and privacy-enhancing technologies to adapt to known and unknown changes to data access.
If we are successful as a team, we will measure business value created by all paid and non-paid marketing tools on Facebook, not just ads. Our primary product experiences will shift to focus on automated insights that drive marketing decisions and actions.
