The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Data Reporting Developer II (SSRS) to be a technology data report developer that will work independently and assist on strategic projects as related to data reporting, data triage, master data management, and other related data initiatives. This position closely partners with business and operational teams to meet the needs for data and reporting in multiple platforms including ad-hoc data extracts and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.

What You Can Look Forward to

  • Collaborate with operations and business units to gain an understanding of data needs and further translate those needs to data and reporting requirements.

  • Follow industry standards and advances on data driven technologies and tools.

  • Transform business and client data requirements into meaningful data extracts, reports and data visualizations while meeting CO-OP marketing and client user experience standards.

  • Develop SQL, T-SQL scripts, and SQL stored procedures for various reporting and data development projects.

  • Develop basic reports and data visualizations utilizing SSRS

  • Document development efforts as required by CO-OP change management practices.

  • Develop and design solutions with security as a critical design requirement for data, systems, and applications. Ensure all development work is reviewed by a senior peer or technical lead.

  • Adhere to Agile principles and philosophies (Scrum or Kanban, as applicable) in fulfillment of the role.

  • Collaborate within the direct team in accordance with Team Agreement, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done.

  • Work as a cross-functional team member in an Agile setting to help complete and deliver the team commitments.

  • Collaborate across teams and across business areas in the spirit of an Agile mindset.

  • Fulfill the role in the spirit of the Agile Manifesto, with emphasis on delivery of incremental value with frequent iterations and feedback loops.

  • Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management. Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • BS in CIS, Data Management, Data Analytics, or similar, or equivalent job experience.

  • 1+ years' experience working in an analyst function or equivalent position where primary responsibility involves data interaction from defining data and reporting requirements, performing basic data analysis, and or performing data exploratory analysis using data query scripting or data connections via a 3rd party software such as Excel or Tableau.

  • SSRS Report Development experience is required

  • Experience with PowerBI is beneficial, but not required

  • Data development within a PCI environment is helpful, but not required

  • Ability to analyze enterprise level data sources and determine relationships between those sources.

  • General knowledge of SQL, T-SQL scripting languages.

  • General knowledge of SQL Server Data Tools, SQL Server Reporting Services, and MS Excel Power Pivot.

  • General knowledge of Agile methodologies.

  • General knowledge of MS office tools Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • General knowledge of data query languages and reporting software.

  • Ability to utilize ODBC connection tools within tools such as SSRS and PowerBI to connect to a variety of data sources including SQL database tables, and Excel files.

  • Ability to connect to different data sources for the purpose of creating impactful reporting in SSRS and SQL data extracts.

  • Ability within SSRS to build quick and simple reports utilizing a data set using 1 or more data sources, a single data set, basic parameters and design of textual reporting layouts.

  • Individual will need to be detail focused and communicate well.

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic data integrity issues, analyze data for validity and completeness, and document findings.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate the complex to simple and easier terms for business leaders and users of data.

  • 1-3 years' experience as a data analyst working with data to perform a primary responsibility centered on business processes, defining application functionality, and/or defining reporting or data visualization requirements is desirable.

  • Certified Tableau Desktop Specialist is desirable.

It's hard to pinpoint a "typical" day here (and who wants typical anyway?), but the Data Integration Developer II will be responsible for all phases of integration between healthcare software systems and various database systems. This position is on the development team creating a company-wide foundational data integration platform. Talend and SSIS are the ETL tools being used to move data. While the Integration Developer will be involved in specific projects, the expectation will be that an enterprise-wide awareness of integration efforts is maintained. This role will require a high degree of technical aptitude, with a strong focus on programming skills. What You'll Do for Us: * Extensive working knowledge of the Talend Data Integration Platform, a working knowledge of other Talend products, and SSIS. * Advanced integration between file based data and Microsoft SQL * Query data using Microsoft SQL * Analyze, design, develop, test, implement and troubleshoot integrations between mission critical business applications * Demonstrate sound analytic and diagnostic skills dealing with issues * Ability to write and enhance Technical specifications based on functional specifications * Understand scope of work and work closely with other ETL developers, PMs, BAs, QA team, Tech Ops and individuals from other groups * Communicate issues/concerns and work with vendors to resolve integration issues * Identify and communicate potential impacts of a change/issue to other areas and teams * Adherence to architecture standards, risk management and security policies, and best practice development * Provide management with timely and accurate information on the progress and issues in assigned projects * Demonstrate the ability to enhance team productivity through your involvement and contributions Education: * Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience Experience: * 3-5 years of experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting ETL solutions integrating multiple data sources, including data analysis * 3-5 years of experience working in Talend and SSIS * 3-5 years of experience in working with enterprise level ETL tools and java * 3-5 years of experience with MS SQL * 3-5 years of experience in the IT Healthcare industry preferred.
