Data Reporting Analyst

Hiram College is seeking a full-time Data Reporting Analyst. The Data Reporting Analyst responsibilities include support of the Enterprise Resource Planning System/Student Information System and Business Office reporting needs across campus. Continual collaboration with end-users to identify needs, assess current reporting and data inventories, and building or modifying existing reports is fundamental. The Data Reporting Analyst will define and process standard data requests as well as analyze all utilization of data and reporting. Defining and executing a longer-term strategic solution to data and reporting utilization is crucial. The Data Reporting Analyst will constantly contribute to the overall business improvement process and the ability to create and maintain collaborative working relationships is key.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide primary reporting support of the Enterprise Resource Planning System/Student Information System and Business Office.

• Continual collaboration with end-users to identify customer requirements, needs, assess current reporting and data inventories, and building or modifying existing reports.

• Define and process standard data requests as well as analyze all utilization of data and reporting.

• Define and execute a longer-term strategic solution to data and reporting utilization.

• Maintain expertise in a wide range of SQL and Business Intelligence reporting techniques, practices, procedures, and field concepts.

• Constantly contribute to the overall business improvement process.

• Create and maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders from all departments.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse population.

• Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment.

• Strong SQL skills and relational database knowledge; Oracle Apex or other business intelligence software; Ellucian Banner knowledge.

Experience, Education, and Other Requirements:

• Three years of significant experience in the field of data analysis, business intelligence development, reporting, data integrity and verification.

• Understanding that a high degree of professional confidentiality is expected with this position.

• Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree preferred.

• Work outside of regular hours as needed.

• Access to a personal computer with high-speed Internet connectivity during off-hours.

• Frequent walking among and between campus buildings.

• Access to reliable transportation.
