Under the direction of the Director, the Data & Quality Assurance Coordinator provides support to the License-Exempt (LE) Provider Program including data analysis, quality assurance and program data management. Develops tools, workflow processes and completes tasks regarding data collection, management, reporting and analysis and reporting systems for the LE program. Oversees LE provider status reporting, staff performance reporting, and work plan reporting, and other agency program reporting. The work will be conducted through a cross-department approach that requires teamwork at the directors, managers and program levels. All work to be completed with minimum supervision and in accordance with organizational standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. The organization reserves the right to add to, delete, change or modify the essential duties and responsibilities at any time.

  • Uses statistical methods and tools to analyze administrative, operational, census and other program data and present findings through a variety of methods: presentations, charts, maps.

  • Researches and prepares special or ad hoc reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, or files.

  • Obtains, stores and manages program administrative and operational data.

  • Work with the LE manager and supervisors to set up systems and procedures and address problems areas to better support the work of the team.

  • Develop and deploy program quality assurance standards and tools to assist the director and management team to implement the quality initiatives of the department.

  • Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits.

  • Work with the management to ensure program information is tracked appropriately through IDHS tracking programs such as DTP and CCMS, SalesForce, and other program tracking systems, maximizing effective usage.

  • Develop and complete necessary program reports for the department.

  • Coordinate departmental program deliverable tracking and reporting, serving as the liaison to the LE monitoring leadership team. Manage communications on progress towards goals and oversee updates to Smartsheets, balance scorecore and necessary databases. Report progress on goals to Director and participate in team and program planning.

  • Coordinate with Research team on data and evaluation needs of the program.

  • Other Functions: The Organization may assign other functions to the job at its discretion.


Bachelors degree required. Fifth year college or university program certificate in project management preferred; two to four years related experience and/or training in data analysis and systems management including MS Access and Excel; proficiency in SQL preferred.

The Department: Quality Assurance At Gemini, our Quality Assurance team is deeply knowledgeable about our products and product features and have a knack for comprehensive analysis from both the developer and end-user perspectives. The Role: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer As a Quality Assurance engineer at Gemini, you'll work together with a team of engineers, using your programming skills to design and develop detailed and robust test automation. You'll engage in functional and performance testing with an agile methodology in mind, and in proactive strategy and investigation to test the integrity of our products and product features. The ideal candidate loves to code and loves to immerse themselves in solving challenging problems. This position is full-time at Gemini's offices in New York City and in Portland, and will report to the Head of Quality Assurance. Responsibilities: * Test new products, product features, and bug fixes in the functional areas of a financial exchange such as: * Onboarding * Matching engine operations * Customer accounts * Compliance activities * Financial management operations * Blockchain operations for supported cryptocurrency products * Various user interfaces * APIs of various flavors * Write automated and manual tests necessary to ensure the operation and correctness of new product features as well as overall system behavior (i.e., regression testing). * Execute various phases of functional and nonfunctional testing to certify the quality of new software releases. * Provide input as required to the planning, requirements definition, and design process for new products and product features, with an eye toward testability. * Review other test engineers' code and test plans for completeness, correctness, style, etc. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or alternative related field (or commensurate work experience) * 5+ years experience with functional and performance testing in large-scale, complex, full-stack systems * 3+ years experience working with automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, RestAssured, RSpec, Mocha/Chai, etc.) * A demonstrated history of strong proficiency with programming in an enterprise-scale language (e.g., Java, C#, Scala, etc.) * Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working with financial technology, such as exchanges or trading firms * Experience working in a startup environment * Experience working with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and/or blockchain technology * Experience with Scala or Python * Experience with automated mobile UI testing It Pays to Work Here We take a holistic approach to compensation at Gemini, which includes: * Competitive base salaries across all departments * Ownership in the company via profit sharing units * Amazing benefits, 401k match contribution, and flexible hours * Snacks, Perks, Wellness Outings & Events Gemini is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
