The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Go-To-Market ("GTM") Operations organization is a global team that serves as the strategy, operations and product commercialization partner to the Sales, Service and Partnerships leadership. This team is responsible for shaping go-to-market priorities, bringing the next generation of Ads technology to market and driving efficiency across operations and commercialization processes.

As a Data Protection Associate you'll work with Sales organizations, internal Engineering teams, Legal, and Security teams to help ensure processes, people, and tools address the data protection needs of Google's general business organization.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in IT audit, information security, data protection and/or incident response.

Preferred qualifications:

  • One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CIPP, CIPT and/or CISA.

  • Experience conducting security risk assessments in a large organization.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, in fast paced environments.

  • Familiarity with DLP technologies

  • Work with the team to define, launch, and drive privacy and security initiatives including risk assessments.

  • Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses and developing final recommendations.

  • Communicate findings to senior management and to the broader organization.

  • Work with cross-functional, global teams. Drive recommendations through to implementation and results.
