Reports to: Information Security Analyst

Primary Functions: Perform data protection functions in support of credit union operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with data protection standards, policies, and programs.

  • Assist with ongoing data protection related tasks.

  • Review and analyze existing processes and practices and help identify data protection risks and solutions.

  • Identify and implement data classification protection.

  • Assist with monitoring data management procedures.

  • Assist with defining data protection models and enforcement of data classifications.

  • Recommend ways to improve data protection and reduce risk to data loss.

  • Assist with management of the Data Loss Prevention as it relates to Data Protection.

  • Participate in strategic data protection initiatives across the business.

  • Review of data protection incidents.

  • Help initiate data protection and compliance awareness across the business.

  • Locate and classify Alaska USA enterprise data assets to determine which data requires to be protected and assessed for external threats and internal risks.

  • Document data security classifications

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: Associate's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related technical field desirable.

Experience in Lieu of Education: Not applicable

Experience/Skills:
One of the following industry security certifications is recommend: Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Information System Security Professional, any Level 5 GIAC Certification or other advanced level certification. Five years direct experience in an Information Security or Data Protection role. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Strong time and project management skills required. Knowledge of data protection legislation. Experience with Endpoint solutions, Security Incident and Event Management Systems, Data Loss Prevention, Active Directory, and Permissions Management desired. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and coordinate multiple time-sensitive activities.

Tenure: Assignment to the Data Protection Analyst I category 9 or Data Protection Analyst II category 08 will be determined by the candidate's education or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate's certifications and/or performance.

Position Summary This position is responsible for conducting credit investigations and financial analysis of complex and diverse credit information for large borrowers/companies and industries, and for performing research/analysis related to projects such as industry studies, credit administration, loan administration and management reporting. This position also assists the Lending Units with various responsibilities related to preparation of Line Loan Authorizations to include: participation in customer meetings with Officers of Account, providing back-up support to the Special Credits Associate Officer in the performance of all duties associated with the collection and workout of loans, and assisting with training the Credit Analyst I position. This position embrace Northrim's mission, vision and values and provide superior customer first service. Job Functions and Responsibilities * Gather and review routine and complex credit information for loans. * Spread financial/credit information of credits/borrowers. * Calculate financial ratios. * Consult with Officers of Account to resolve questions. * Conduct research on various credit related topics as assigned. * Analyze borrower information/financial statements, collateral, and tax returns to determine if credit meets credit quality standards. * Analyze customer financial data, credit worthiness, compare liquidity, profitability, and credit history. Generates and interprets financial ratios to evaluate financial risk. * Provide written analysis of the financial statements including global cash flow, debt service coverage, financial ratios and other complex financial topics unique to each customer. * Monitor and follow-up on the receipt of financial statements and verify compliance with loan covenants for large borrowers. * Prepare reports that include risks and concerns associated with borrowers. * Compile data from credit histories and financial statements. Performs credit history investigations on new and existing customers using third party credit reports. * Research payment issues. * Provide credit information to management by compiling information. * Analyze financial data and prepare persuasive written conclusions. * Recommend credit decisions based on analysis. * Provide support to officers of account in preparation of credit presentations to approval committees/or designated approver. * Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations while performing the functions of the position. * Maintain customer confidence and protects the Bank by keeping information confidential. * Coordinate activities in support of the credit approval process. * May provide training and/or review work quality for entry-level consumer lenders and other credit analysts. * Other duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications Education/Work Experience * Three years of college level accounting classes and minimum one year of credit analyst or underwriting experience required. * Equivalent combination of education and related work experience in loan production, loan servicing or loan documentation may be considered. * Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience. Knowledge * Thorough working knowledge of corporate financial statements and commercial/corporate structure. * Must have strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills and communicate knowledge in a clear and concise manner with staff and management both written and verbal. * Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and accuracy. Analytical & Decision Making Skills * Work is complex. Use logic and reasoning to analyze financial and credit information. Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills required. Must be critical thinker, detail oriented, and have the ability to develop and implement plans. * Ability to work under general direction of manager and complete work independently with limited supervision or guidance. Assignments are received in the form of expected results with latitude provided on the method in reaching the desired results.
