If you are a self-motivated, high-energy individual who is not afraid of challenges, we're looking for you.Apple is seeking an expert Data Scientist to join a team passionate about Data Science & Analytics for Apple Media Products (AMP), covering the App Store, Apple Music/iTunes, Video and other services.This role will involve working with Internet-scale data across numerous product and customer touch points, undertaking in-depth quantitative analysis and building models to drive strategy.The team's culture is centered around rapid iteration with open feedback and debate along the way, plus strong collaboration with product, engineering, business, and marketing partners.
3+ years of experience in a Data Product Management role, preferably for a digital media or subscription business.You should have knowledge of data pipeline design, with an understanding of integration and data transformation standard methodologies.You have experience with data set design, including projections, aggregates and reference tables.Strong proficiency with SQL-based languages. Experience with large scale analytics technologies such as Hadoop and Spark preferred.Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau to build operational dashboards and persist relevant critical metrics.You have the ability to define data quality rules and execute data validation test cases.Curious business and technical mindset with an ability to condense complex concepts into clear and concise summaries that drive action.Excellent communication, social and presentation abilities with meticulous attention to detail.Leadership skills to influence partners and shepherd projects to timely completion in an agile environment.Familiarity with SEO performance measurement and web engagement; previous experience with instrumentation a plus.

You will lead instrumentation and dataset efforts for AMP Business & Marketing Data Science, collaborating closely with Business, Marketing, Client Engineering, Data Engineering and Privacy teams. Provide clear requirements and specification frameworks to Engineering teams and track projects through to completion.

You will perform ad-hoc analytics on new metrics and datasets to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Devise significant new KPIs on top of datasets and work to integrate them into both existing and new data products. Independently evaluate, procure and ingest third party datasets to aid understanding business health.

Develop the framework of how marketing campaigns and channels are set up, tracked and attributed. Partner with other Apple organizations on data gathering, data governance, evangelizing key performance indicators and democratizing data. Your creative problem solving skills will be utilized daily.

Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or equivalent. Ideally, Masters or PhD in related field.

This role will involve working with Internet-scale data across numerous product and customer touch points, undertaking in-depth analysis as well as modeling, and building Machine Learning applications to solve the problem. The team's culture is centered around rapid iteration with open feedback and debate along the way, plus strong collaboration with product, engineering, business, and marketing partners. 2+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning. You should have a strong and curious mind with an ability to transfer complex business concepts and challenges into actionable machine learning problems.Solid programming skills in one of the programming languages like Python, Java, C++, experience using relevant packages (e.g., Scikit-Learn, Keras, Tensorflow) to build statistical/ML models.We seek hands-on experience with big data technologies such as SQL, Hadoop and Spark.Good knowledge in one or more of the following machine learning areas: time-series analysis, anomaly detection, recommender systems, clustering, text mining and deep learning.Familiarity with data visualization tools for full-stack data analysis and presentation preferred.Full-stack development experience (e.g., UI, Services and APIs) for ML application preferred.We seek excellent communication, social and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
